Whilst our attendance figures are still relatively respectful, I honestly thought we'd be averaging a few thousand more this season. Especially when you consider that we're winning more games. So what's the problem?

Leeds, who we regularly beat in the attendance stakes last season, pulled in a bigger crowd than us yesterday, despite being in a lower division and playing the lowly Hereford. As i regularly commute to West Yorkshire on work, it's a bit embarrassing.

Our next home game against Bristol City is £20 in the Family Stand. I still think it's slightly expensive, especially when you consider the economic climate. I'm I the only one that thinks this? Or is it another factor? Unattractive football?

I think people are having to prioritise what they spend money on but our prices are by no means at the higher end of the ticket prices in this division... £27 for Norwich and £28 for Derby for example. You only have to look across the other side of the city for ridiculous pricing.

I think United are doing the right thing in trying to attract younger fans. Yesterday was a community day where loads of tickets were given out to schools and we've had other promotions along the way. The problem being with these kids, they see Manchester United and Chelsea on the TV and they fancy a bit of that... they aren't going to get it with United so soon get bored.

Watford didn't bring many yesterday and Leeds' game against Hereford was a category C match, meaning some tickets were available for £16.

I do agree that £20 is expensive, but it certainly isn't something United are guilty of alone. Football as a whole is expensive.

Welcome to the forum anyway :hello:

Leeds only has 1 team.

Is that what you call it ????

The price of football in this country is way too high compared to similar games in the EU, same old rip off Britain. As for SUFC the prices are decent compared to some.

no. .

I think more clubs should take note of our ticketing policy. Compared to most clubs ours are reasonably priced and we have put on numerous offers this season to help people out.

It's a yes and no answer from me.

Yes - because ticketing prices in football are far too expensive really, I don't know how they can justify some of the ticketing prices. However if you have a clientelle base that will pay it, then they will charge so.

No - because, in comparsion to other teams, producing the same football and in the same league, we are probably one of the lowest priced around.

I don't think so. Ipswich fans reckon we are lucky with the current pricing especially the specials they do e.g bring a friend for £10 and category C games every few months. To sit on the North Stand (equivalent of our Kop) at Ipswich it's £29 for an adult, £20.50 for a Concession and £10 for an Under 16 for every game (whether it's us or Norwich) and that's only before the day of the game as it's £31.50 , £23 and £11 on the day!

It'll be interesting to see if we get any more ticket offers with this £30 million looking likely. Didn't McCabe say he was going to reward the fans?

Half price season tickets for all those who've renewed the last two seasons following our relegation?

Watching football in UK is expensive, although the tickets at Sheffield United are priced reasonably. Compared to tickets in my country, Germany, Belgium and even France you wonder why you have to pay that lot with most clubs, especially the London clubs.
Example, highest price for a homegame at Feyenoord, PSV or Ajax is around 30 Euro (24 Pound) for a normal league game, but you can have a good seat for 12 Pounds as well.
In Germany and Belgium you will pay 8 Pound for standing. Is what I payed in Dortmund, Aachen and Bochum last year

The moral of the story is... bring back cheap standing areas :)
