I can't see a post by Deadbat and Webding but I've just listened to the pod. My recommendation for a top notch cable car would be the 'Teleferique' in Beirut. There's one point where you could easily steal an old woman's bloomers from her apartment balcony.

Consider it added to the list of 'cable car rides to do before I die'

I was away in Wales for a wedding/holiday so missed the cup game and saw the Swansea game after it took place on catch up...

For what it's worth my take on it for those who have not heard the pod (link below) is I was bored and still have no idea what we are trying to do with style, tactics or formation but concede it's very early. It seems like he is trying different things though and has no clear plan how he wants us to play. Yet. Just hope we can create some chances, goals and entertainment soon though as thus far (no major criticism of Jokanovic) it has been dull and we look miles off a team who will threaten the top end but it is very early as I say. Do think Weds night will be a rude awakening for us though and can see us getting stuffed.

May get worse before it gets better....

My ratings from Swansea

Ramsdale 6/10 - One save but nowt to do really.
Baldock 5/10 - Stupid fouls. OK defensively but offered nothing the other way.
Robinson 5/10 - Not a left back but not a centre back. Another who concedes stupid free kicks and seems a mistake is always round the corner.
Egan 6.5/10 - Though he was our steadiest outfield player. Solid and composed. Too slow to move it though again.
Basham 6/10 - Few good headers to clear but some giveaways too especially 2nd half. At least protected us well with few chances conceded.
Norwood 4.5/10 - He was ok but nothing really going forward save 1-2 decent free kicks/corners mixed with a number of shoddy ones again. Too slow to go forwards and went back too much.
Berge 4/10 - Abysmal start. Gave it away 3 times and after that did not get in the game at all. One great run and cross for the McGoldrick chance but totally anonymous outside of that. Just coasting at the moment. I'd let him go if we get a bid of 25 million plus personally as both him and Norwood are not affecting games at all. Trams are still running through us and they are creating little the other way with no urgency.
McGoldrick 3/10 - Thought he was wretched actually and I love the guy! Slowed it down when he had it and not in a good way. His passing was loose and his finishing was appalling. Three great chances. Only close on one which was wrong judged offside.
Burke 4/10 - Same as usual. A few runs down the line with no end product. Starts games OK but then any kind of threat just disappears. He is not good enough.
Sharp 4/10 - Not in the game at all. He won a few free kicks but no threat at all really. Missed a decent headed chance. He cannot play as a one/Central striker in his own as lacks pace/physicality for the role.
Brewster 6/10 - Best of the 3/4 strikers. He at least got down the side a few times and forced them back. Ridiculous seeing him play almost right wing/wing back. He needs to play down the middle. Rather him being the lone striker than any if the others that played.

Subs:
McBurnie 4/10 - Useless. Stupid fouls and petulant arguing. One decent ball to Didzy apart. He has regressed so badly since a promising start 2 years ago. His value is dropping rapidly the longer he does not play/play well or score.
Osborn 6/10 - Mixed. Some awful decisions (shots/passes) but some lively moments and decent balls into the box too.
Bogle - Least he got into good positions with a few ok crosses. Needs to start for me as he at least has pace and will take risks. No others are doing that other than Berge in flashes.

Jokanovic/United- He does not know his best team which is fine at this stage but not sure he has articulated the plan to the players yet. We do not seem to have a way of playing yet. It's a bit if a confusing mess. We aren't pressing or aggressive without the ball and with it are slow and ponderous. We are creating best to nothing and the play is passive and boring. I am not sure he would ever want us to play how we have the first two games? So the players have to do much better or if he proceeds with trying to instill his style in (whatever it is?) then will need 6 or 7 new starters to play it. I worry for all the strikers in the club he does not have a focal point like he did at Watford and Fulham and the runners/pace down either side. He may have 6 forwards and non suited to how he wants to play.

Ultimately I believe Ramsdale and Berge will go in the next fortnight but he may need to ensure we have a new keeper, creative midfielder and 2 wide attacking players before/around the time they leave. I said in the summer we needed a big changeover of players...5 or 6 starters out/in and was criticised saying it was too much to change but the evidence so far would suggest either these players have carried on the same poor form of last season or they are struggling so far to grasp or play his style. I just felt many had reached the end of their cycle anyway and thus we needed that natural churn. They have a brand new manager (supposedly a disciplinarian) and should be busting a gut to impress but seen just the same as last season so far in urgency and taking responsibility. Big 2-3 weeks for some as looking at his body language after Saturday he won't hang around waiting for players to impose themselves and will surely get more in?

Can't disagree with much of that DB. I was equally bored for large parts of the game. We were lopsided for an hour with only 1 left footer in the team and he was reluctant to pass the ball forward. Thought we improved with Osborn on the pitch simply because we had a left sided option. Anyone of Fleck, ND or Freeman would have had the same effect. SJ is probably used to having technical players who can use both feet. He's finding out quick he has a dearth of talent where that is concerned.

Basham at least provided some stability to the defence and Robinson not being at CB helped. Yet none of the back four were comfortable with the ball at their feet not helped by a non existent midfield not showing for the ball. Last week we looked to have some semblance of passing ability at pace. Against the Swans we had none and resorted to passing back to Ramsdale who hoofed it back to white shirts losing possession.

We looked better for the last 30 minutes and contrived to miss two good chances. The howl of disapproval from SJ as Norwoods final corner was chipped into the hands of their goalkeeper tells its own story. This group of players have got into the habit of losing and not scoring. Where the next win or goal are coming from is anyones guess. The only players who looked to have some energy were Brewster, Osborn and to a lesser extent Sharp in the first half. Can't decide whether its lack of conditioning, confidence or a state of confusion because they are no longer running through walls in training and are having to concentrate more on ball skills.

SJ has his work cut out and listening to his post match comments his patience is already wearing thin. I hope the Board back him as it will require a large overhaul of the squad to play the way he wants. Comments from Bettis that they were looking for a Manager who could play 3-5-2 haven't helped. Just confirms the lack of a football brain at the top table. SJ was never going to compromise how he plays to satisfy an administrator.

Next 2 weeks will be critical in defining the season. My prediction of 8th is already looking under threat.

good analysis nothings changed from last season even playing at a lower level which has really suprised me as i thought this squad would be good enough for top 6 at the least and your right you can see the anger and frustration in slavs face on the touchline these players better pick things up quick or they will be out of the door were really suffering from the turgid defensive safety first football that chris wilder installed in our play over the last 15 months and as a big fan of wilder never thought i would be criticising him like this at least 6 new players needed to freshen things up

Doing it in Beirut sounds like extreme cable car to me. I like it.
