I told you all this weeks back (when it happened) but you all thought is was funnier to sneer and call me a pig well here you go.. I don’t expect an apology

I also told you about the Robinson situation..

I will tell you anyone expecting Selles to be sacked if there is another defeat on Friday is in for a disappointment he’s been told he has got until the next International break to sort it out.

A set-back and an operation are two different things.

Which one is it?

The set back was a corrective op.. not a major procedure so why they are being coy about the details beats me..

… but then I also don’t understand why they lied about it in the first place and got Oli to publicly lie about it as well..

but the management team, if you can call it that, is a complete shambles from top to bottom.

Clearly you were correct, but considering Oli himself was denying it publicly, I can't see why we wouldn't have been cynical?

As I have replied on the post above why they lied about it and seemingly got Oli to lie about it as well I don’t know.. but nothing is surprising about the current regime the players are scratching their heads at the chaos that’s around the place.

I think if we stick with Selles we'll probably finish around 10th with a squad that should be top six. We will inevitably improve from the first few games but I still don't think he's going to be the guy to lead us into the play offs minimum.

I've seen no evidence so far that he can adapt his tactics or motivate the players he has. Id give him one game v Ipswich to see improvement/application.
If we stick.eoth selles till next international break we will finish 10 th ?

No, I meant if we stick with him I think come the end of season we'll be around 10th. With this squad we should be top six in my mind.

I think we should be too six two but it's difficult to see him still being in the job unless there are signs of steady improvement through the season

Hoping you are wrong on this one, or at least that they re-evaluate that decision after the shit show last night.

Early days I know - but Blasters big injury doesn’t appear to have affected him. Still wants the ball all the time, great touch & moves the ball extremely well. Real touch of class about this boy.
10x the midfielder Peck is. That's not having a go at Peck, he does what he does, but he's no where near Arblasters level.

Maybe controversial but he gave the ball away early doors and then I thought he went invisible for 15 mins.

He improved after they went down to 10 but it was easy for us at that point.

It will take a while to play himself back into form but showed some good touches when he got into the game.

Arblaster must've had some game second hald yesterday then. He was ok yesterday, from what i saw and was certainly a very decent player last season before his ACL. I've no doubts he'll get back to his pre injury levels, just needs game time

To say that he's 10x the player that Peck is, i'm not sure where this comes from. Peck was excellent last season, also in his debut season, he grew as the season went on. This season has been a strange one, with Selles' tactics and the loss of some key players, Peck was expected to play the role of two players earlier this season and got exposed, knocking his confidence somewhat. He's been a different player since Wilder came back and played a proper midfield.

I don't think there is a direct comparison, Peck is certainly a very good player at this level, same with Arblaster. Both are developing still

Yeah let’s just enjoy Peck and Arblaster whilst we can. No need to pick a favourite.

Hoping we get to see them start together, soon. Along with Seriki and Brooks in the same side.
Absolutely, its very pleasing to see, but I can also say the same for Bindon, Riedewald and Bamford coming in from the cold a little bit

When peck is back and blaster is up to full fitness there is no better midfield 2 in this division . ¹

I’m not sure they can play as a pair. You’d need someone like Riedewald sweeping up behind them and that obviously alters the whole formation we’re currently playing.
If Hamer leaves in Jan, then I suppose it’s something we could look at, but it would likely push CoH to the left which makes that side very narrow and obviously one up front.

There's no problems having those 2 in with riedewald ,top players can adapt to any system and formation . Allso it allows for rotation ,peck and blaster can play the holding role .

It comes from watching them play. Their movement, passing, vision; the pace of their play. Peck is slow on the ball, not progressive, takes time to see and then pass the ball.

You could make an argument to play them together in the middle, but Riedewald is better at the holding role.

For me, Peck misses out.

Ok Cheers.

Yup, but if you play them as a 3 you’re limiting your creative/offensive options with Hamer/O’Hare/Brooks fighting out for what’s probably one role.
I think Peck struggled with the holding role this season and I don’t think Blaster can either at the moment and you’d lose something from both by doing it.

I did say when fit .

Midfield three of Peck, Arblaster and Reiweld with Hamer and O’Hare in wide attacking midfield positions, Bamford up top. That’s a a busy, ratting out the opposition line up. Loads of energy there it’d be a nightmare to play against.

Could still do with an improvement at centre back, cover at right back and a big shove it up them forward
