I share my time between Chiang mai and Pattaya, and would be good to catch up with some fellow Blades, anybody out there ?

Out there once a year and would love to be more. Mrs Houso lived there for 5 years or so and would like to go back eventually.

Be there in May/June, but Bangkok for business and Samui for some R&R. Taking the in-laws to look after our little girl and they're season ticket holders at Toytown, so our moods are likely to be poles apart :D

I'm currently in Vanuatu but likely to need to go to Tegucigalpa to get some fags, hoping to find a Sports bar later.

My brother is resident in Phuket, still Blades mad, and follows them by all the usual sources

I'm sure Woodward fan is somewhere near that neck of the woods. He's usually found replying to himself and liking his own posts 24/7 when not posting "I'm on a big fuck off huge holiday in (insert exotic location) and I'm really not showing off at all".

Is Olivia Newton - John still there?

Last I heard she'd moved to Hoyland Common, but I'll keep my eyes open, good looking bint but never fancied her

Cheers,

or in Tegucigalpan....',;:',v€~_||+*^$>%#<~

Whereabouts is he Kelso? We were there for a week in Feb, Karon Beach and loved it, nice beaches, fantastic fish and seafood. I'd love to go back again.

Robby Blade passes through about once a fortnight :)

If you need travel advice for that part of the world, Robby's your man, there's more to him than meets the eye, which is just as well :-)

Always remember in Pattaya how our taxi drivers who always slow down on a main street and look in one of the glass fronted shop windows. Inside were usually a row of girls sitting on benches clearly waiting for something. It was later explained to us it is the local clap clinic and the drivers like to know who's in the queue.

Funny how whenever I walked down the sea front lots of young ladies with size ten feet would rush out from each bar and drag me into their bar. Quite flattering for a not so young bald bar steward. 10 seconds later my wife following behind would drag me out. Strange that.

Far more beautiful places that Pattaya and Phuket IMO, Phi Phi and Koh Lanta and the islands nearby for example.

Been to Thailand and Bangkot lots on business but never found any evidence of blades though.

The Black Swan Pub on Sukhumvit In Bangkok , just below Nana Station had a Sheffield United framed Shirt on its wall last year ,when I visited I believe the Owner is a supporter

Wish I had known this when I was in Bangkok!

Been to Krabi a few times, liked it, decent beaches nearby, not overly noisy and a few nice bars.

Only issue I had is that, what with me not being an "off-the-peg" build, I got hounded by the tailors shop sales people constantly.

Spot on . He still lets everyone know that he has done it , been there , got the tee shirt .

No doubt he visits Bangkok but keeps it under his hat . Wonder why the British Concils are on red alert when he is on his holidays . Let's everyone know for 4 months of the year . Once a banker always a banker .

Tourism has dropped by 40% in Whitby since he moved there .

Sorry Sean you sad man.

You've qualified for my mirror which is held up to you to re-examine your own post where you introduce me to a thread for no reason. Look at the way you state things about which you are obsessed it seems. Look in the mirror sad Blade, you go off on one and introduce me to an unrelated thread again after often accusing me of being an attention seeker ,taking over and dominating threads. Not quite a shark attack, not serious enough, just sad. 00.21 am. Hong Kong. Patent: "Sharks and mirrors"

Chang Mai our favourite - size of town, scenery, food and climate.

Bangkok riverside and Royal Palace and Temples unforgettable as was the street food.

Overall Great people, gorgeous ladies, favourite food ever, superb climates and coastline. Bit like Whitby actually!!

Prefer Thailand to Vietnam actually. Cambodia runs it close though.

Don't waste your time getting a cheap suit in HK.
Think you need a good therapist.

Just try leaving me out of threads I'm not involved in please Sean. I would never ever think of dragging you into a thread you're not involved in, yet you do it regularly. This time I held up the mirror for you.

Didn't you go to the game, that would be far more interesting than me!!

He is in Phuket Town, he teaches English at one off the schools, how an ex Royal Marine and Fireman got to do that I will never know. He swears this is true, he teaches from 11 to 16 years old, and the first English phrase
He learns them is "Sheffield W*******y are shite"

Stayed at Karon Beach it's a lovely place, if you manage to go back try and go in April taking in the 16th, it's the Thai new year and it is a water festival, you end up getting absolutely soaked. If you go to Patong, on Bangla Road, it's a fantastic day.

I went somewhere that sempt to be Thailand the other week after a night on west Street!?, to be honest I always thought Thailand was hours away by plane, but actually it's 10 min in a taxi, down just past meadowhell, under the viaduct.
Very friendly people, the take you in hand and lead you to delightful rooms, where they ask what you'd like to do whilst you waited...........very accommodating and very thorough at looking after you too!!!
Would recommend to anybody!!
I did think Thailand would be bigger however??, there only sempt to be a few rooms and corridors, never saw any islands or scenery really, but it was late, and the young ladies/boys looked after us very well!!!

I was last in Thailand over ten years ago. Me and my pal had three days in Pattaya. Anyone staying longer is a better man than I. We got out and flew down to Phuket, charted a fishing boat for ten days and stayed out in the Indian Ocean, much more fun.
For anyone wanting to visit Thailand for the Palaces, Temples etc, a much better option is Myanmar. Was there in 2010 and last year. The pace of change is unbelievable so anyone thinking about Myanmar should go sooner rather than later. Within ten years it will be no different to Thailand.
I now spend more and more time in Indonesia, might even be there permanently by next year. So much more to see and do.

At the moment I fly back to The UK on 1st May, but sorely tempted to take in another couple of countries before I come back. Might think about Myanmar & Indonesia. May even pay a visit to the Philippines to see how much of a lightweight drinker moDtheGod has become. :)
