I know I'm no Grafikhaus, but if you break down our results into blocks of 6, this is what's happened so far.
Apart from the third block where we had our dip, we've been pretty consistent in gathering an average of 2 points(ish) a game

LLWWWW 12
LDWWWW 13
LDWLDD 6
WLWLDW 10
WWWLDW 13
DWWWDW 14

Assuming we don't have another dip, but continue our resilient form, it's fair to assume the following in the last 10 games
?????? 12?
???? 7?

This would see us finishing on 87 points.

In 4 of the 6 blocks, we have won 4 games. Repeat that and we can afford to draw one and lose 3 of the last 10 (30%) having only lost 8 of the previous 36 (22%)

So, in a nutshell, we are looking at, and could well achieve at least W6 D1 L3

If one of those wins is at Leeds, we might just be swapping Quest for the BBC next year.

Would hope for better, but summat like this

H Brentford W
A Leeds L
H Brizzle W
A Preston L
A Brum D
H Miwaw W
H Florist W
A 'Ull L
H Tractors W
A Stoke W

Some tough games in there though.

Even leaving aside Leeds... Preston, Birmingham, Forest, Hull are going to be difficult.

In this season and last, we've obtained a total of 12 points from 12 games against those last 4.

He said 'I know I'm no Grafikhaus...' Too bloody true, he ain't! :D

...and Brentford on Tuesday isn't going to be easy, nor will Bristol City on 30th March. There aren't any 'easy' games at this level - just games you'd expect to win but it doesn't mean you're going to though. West Brom would have been confident of 3 points yesterday, ditto Middlesbrough. And I'm sure FLDC thought they'd beat the pigs. Plenty of twists and turns to come.

All I know about this statto business is that you can only try to identify trends but unexpected things can just happen. Harvey Barnes going back to Leicester after his loan at WBA. Bristol City's league form imploding after the 'excitement' of an FA Cup run (3 losses, 1 draw since being knocked out of the 5th round) etc. Leeds could well be 5 points ahead of us by the time we meet next Saturday meaning a draw or loss for them wouldn't be as disastrous as for us.

Buckle up!

There's far too many misconceptions in football
Every year the 3 relegated from the prem are given promotion status way above reality
Again this season not one will get automatic. The gulf between bottom half prem and top half championship is not that big as they have shown.
The reason we are where we are is our consistency of performance and Hull are where they are because of losing like they did at forest yesterday which they consistently do. As do other top 6 contenders

Be easier to say our form in the first 18 games has been much improved on in our last 18 games
We've lost only 2 in 18 and won 11 drawn 5
Keep up that be happy days
