Indeed it was, a mutual friend gave me the sad news this afternoon. Bumped into Sarny going to the Lane a couple of times last season after not seeing him for a long time. He said he was living within sight of that ground in Hillsboro', I was disparaging of his choice! RIP Steve.

I had not seen him in a while and heard he was living near that shithole. He was a good lad and knew him from 15 years old. No idea about funeral arrangements or anything like that,hope his family are coping ok.

He lived in that part of the world before moving. The valley lads will know more than me to be honest.

Had some bad news today. Steve Sanderson has passed away. He will be well known to the "Valley Lads" and a lot of Blades who travelled away. He was diagnosed with Lung Cancer 2 weeks ago and has gone so quickly. RIP Steve.
