Another blade appointed

Is it just me or does the official site always seem to over publicise the fact that a blade has been appointed within the club (recent examples are Richard Batho, Frank Barlow and now Dave McCarthy). They seem to place a great emphasis on who they supported/played for when they are a blade but when making an appointment for one of the most important positions within the club, the background of the candidate was completely ignored.

Not wanting to start up another Danny Wilson thread, it just seems like the website seems to place great importance on this, when in the majority of cases no one actually cares about their background, just whether they are able to do the job or not.

McCarthy has already been working for the club in various capacities for the last year or two. It's just a change of role.
