One can only assume its a loan because Norwich couldn't afford his wages and we don't have the cash to buy him out, so we've had to get creative to get him out of the door...

We don't really know what we've got with Slimane and whether he is at his ceiling yet. Another club playing him for 30 ish games will show us, so this is a win-win really, unless we get serious injuries.

You're right. Think I'd rather see Peck pushed and guess Tom Davies maybe closer to playing...

I was always surprised that we never played Slimane at right back when he plays there for his country. But hey ho. Like Jebbo, there's nothing to miss. Move along. Bye.

The way Wilder sounded after Barnsley suggests this wasn't planned. He wanted out last minute after a bit of interest and so Wilder wants him out even if it's not a great deal for us financially.

Could also be to push it through before the deadline. Do it as a loan with an obligation to buy pushing back fee to next year and they pay wages

If this is Slimane being honest to Wilder and saying that it was a lot to take in, and he didn't feel he could give 100% on the night, then I'm fine with that.
It's far better than playing and ghosting his way through the game and letting the side down.
I wish him well in his future career, where ever that may be.
