Off the back of the controversial red card on Monday, on a scale of 0 to Apoplectic, what's the most angry you've been during our tenure in the Premier League?

The Spurs away clown feet offside had me shouting, ranting and yelling, but the winner for me is Newcastle at home. The Shelvey goal, complete with flagging linesman, players pausing and disbelief wins for me...it was the ex referee trying to justifying it on TV that pushed me over the edge and had me yelling at the screen.

The Villa ghost goal probably would have won but a general apathy and expectation of ineptitude of the officials has set in by then.

I agree when I saw the ghost goal live I just wasn't surprised at all, like you say apathy had set in. Although my anger started to kick in after the match and the complete bullshit that we were fed about it being occluded. It is very bloody obvious that Hawkeye wasn't turned on. If they had just said they forgot to turn it back on after the warm up then we would have understood and chalked it up to human error.

Even now we are still waiting for these occluded images.

City away last season. After a superb first half performance, Mousset got on a great ball from midfield and finished with aplomb, and the VAR screen lit up, and the player who played the ball had half a foot offside.

Nothing the players have done have angered me as we have been giving it everything and punching way above our weight, it is just VAR that is making me angry

If we had got a better share of VAR decisions in our favour even with our indifferent form during the restart we would have ended up in the top 6/7.

At the time I wasn`t annoyed by this - as, whilst it was unprecedented, it was arguably within the guidelines.

However - I am yet to see a single instance of the ref "playing on" when a linesman raises his flag since that day. On a couple of occasions that's stopped one of our attacks in their stride and at that point I get really annoyed.

It feel like we've been shafted by a scenario we can seemingly never benefit from.

I honestly believe we are being set up for relegation this season whether we deserve it or not the control of the VAR system by the influential big clubs is going against us . One of the big clubs cannot be allowed to get relegated and I suspect West Ham is their worry, clubs will be targeted for relegation unfortunately I think we are one of those this season . Pressure will be applied to referees on the pitch and at Stockley park subtly.
It doesn’t take many decision to go against us and gradually undermine the confidence of or football team then we are in a downward spiral.

However - I am yet to see a single instance of the ref "playing on" when a linesman raises his flag since that day. On a couple of occasions that's stopped one of our attacks in their stride and at that point I get really annoyed.

It feel like we've been shafted by a scenario we can seemingly never benefit from.

It was the linesman flagging that really did it for me - I thought they'd been instructed not to put their flag until the end of the phase of play to stop players from pausing. It was so clear that everyone had stopped because they saw the raised flag. I'm still not sure why we have linesman anymore - they are powerless and every offside is ultimately determined by VAR so by them being present they just add uncertainty and confusion.

The Newcastle game by a mile, the Ref was a absolute plonker, no so much for the Shelvey goal but for blowing for foul after foul as they shit housed him all game. You could have knocked the Newcastle players over with a dust particle that night, how thier fans cheer that shit on I dont know..

When you summarise it like that, we've had our fair share of shitshow decisions in a little over one season back in the top flight, haven't we? And many of these are just talking points or slightly bad decisions, they are literally:

1. What, so VAR wasn't turned on??
2. So a bloke, in a different phase of play had a toe offside?
3. What, the ref waved to play on?

They're lunacy moments.

I tend not to get angry any more as others have said I have come to expect it, if there is a 50/50 call to be made it very seldom goes our way. This club has a habit of being the one that makes history the ghost goal at Villa Park being the perfect example, any of the recognised top six and the game would have been stopped to check a, Hawkeye was on and working b, VAR. c, the linesman's view.
