Because that’s the only way you’d probably get Souttar and Anel, both of whom are better than Tanganga in their respective roles; as a dominant head it kick it centre half Souttar is better, as an aggressive bring it out of defence centre half Anel is better. Why are people proposing selling Tanganga. Absolutely delusional
Either that, or should we sign Anel to play alongside Tanganga?Tanganga was good today, but it's easy to be blinded by recency bias.
If an opportunity arose to swap for Anel, we'd be mad not to explore it.
There aren’t that many Championship teams with old fashioned number 9 types. I’d be very happy with Tanganga and Anels mobility, awareness and aggression.Either that, or should we sign Anel to play alongside Tanganga?
They're not the most physically commanding CB's but both are good on the ball and could have the potential to be a good pairing.
Plus Anel looked comfortable at LCB when playing alongside Souttar.
im of the opinion that a back 3 would suit us better tanganga soutter and anel seriki and mcallum/burrows as wingbacks and would solve our wingers issue we can then get peck and phillips as the 2 o'hare as the floater and bamford and one up top ive given up on cannon and campbellThere aren’t that many Championship teams with old fashioned number 9 types. Defending set pieces requires a bit more physicality but we did pretty well against a physical Birmingham side.
I think McGuinness is better than many seem to think and I’d even consider a back 3 if Anel did return.
We all know what Souttar would bring to the table but for me we should be spending any available funds on bolstering our attacking options - particularly down the left.
Seem to recall that we had a bid in for Tanganga in January 2025 as Souttar’s replacement that wasn’t successful, which would have meant him being paired with Ahmedhodzic then and suggests Wilder considers it a decent pairing. Fairly sure it came up in Tanganga’s interviews immediately after joining us.Because that’s the only way you’d probably get Souttar and Anel, both of whom are better than Tanganga in their respective roles; as a dominant head it kick it centre half Souttar is better, as an aggressive bring it out of defence centre half Anel is better.
But the counter argument is how much better is Souttar if he’s only available for 2/3 of the games?
Or, Hall is just reporting what was said...Can tell how in sync Wilder and Hall are when they’re using the same phrases in articles and interviews
Wilder's ego is too big to go back to a 3-5-2 again now, even though the personnel we have in the squad is crying out for it.im of the opinion that a back 3 would suit us better tanganga soutter and anel seriki and mcallum/burrows as wingbacks and would solve our wingers issue we can then get peck and phillips as the 2 o'hare as the floater and bamford and one up top ive given up on cannon and campbell

not when Hall said it first
He's 27 now, so will have bulked up physically from when he first joined us.I don’t know where this idea comes from that Ahmedhodzic isn’t a physical defender, he’s a 6’4” Bosnian. Good record with both aerial and ground duels.
Bit like Cheeky Blades ` wank1ng spanners thenHe's 27 now, so will have bulked up physically from when he first joined us.
Same with Bindon last season been just 21 and been not quiet strong enough at times, in a few years time he could be dominant 6ft 4" CB.
Burrows was far far better with Anel next to him. Souttar tied the whole defence together, everyone was better as a result.Either that, or should we sign Anel to play alongside Tanganga?

Best option I've seen, and chuck McGuinness in Souttar deal, he's a good L1 defenderWonder who would be interested in Tanganga?
He signed a shorter contract that we would have liked.
Sell him for 7m, replace him with Anel for 5m and get Souttar:
Seriki-Souttar-Ahmedhodzic-McCallum

Quick question and apologies if answered elsewhere but why is Anel suddenly out of the picture? They need cash , form dipped?
"Style of play"They’ve said he doesn’t suit the style of play they are going for this season
Something we can only dream of"Style of play"
What is this sorcery you speak of ?
