Why are people proposing selling Tanganga. Absolutely delusional
Because that’s the only way you’d probably get Souttar and Anel, both of whom are better than Tanganga in their respective roles; as a dominant head it kick it centre half Souttar is better, as an aggressive bring it out of defence centre half Anel is better.

But the counter argument is how much better is Souttar if he’s only available for 2/3 of the games?

Tanganga was good today, but it's easy to be blinded by recency bias.

If an opportunity arose to swap for Anel, we'd be mad not to explore it.
Either that, or should we sign Anel to play alongside Tanganga?

They're not the most physically commanding CB's but both are good on the ball and could have the potential to be a good pairing.

Plus Anel looked comfortable at LCB when playing alongside Souttar.

I presume we’ve got a sell-on clause for Anel and I guess they haven’t paid us in full for him yet.
So deduct those figures from the asking price and Anel could very well be a much cheaper option than Soutter.

There aren’t that many Championship teams with old fashioned number 9 types. I’d be very happy with Tanganga and Anels mobility, awareness and aggression.
Defending set pieces requires a bit more physicality but we did pretty well against a physical Birmingham side.
I think McGuinness is better than many seem to think and I’d even consider a back 3 if Anel did return.
We all know what Souttar would bring to the table but for me we should be spending any available funds on bolstering our attacking options - particularly down the left.

im of the opinion that a back 3 would suit us better tanganga soutter and anel seriki and mcallum/burrows as wingbacks and would solve our wingers issue we can then get peck and phillips as the 2 o'hare as the floater and bamford and one up top ive given up on cannon and campbell
