Kyle Walker would only be on a fraction of the wages he is currently on, he would have to be willing to take a massive drop, if he's willing to do that then fair play to him. It still doesn't mean that we can offer wages to compete with other clubs for players still in their prime.

Just think it’s one of those, he’d probably love for it to happen and so would we as a club. But I can’t see us paying a sizeable fee for someone of that age. Especially when Burnley have got more to lose to keep him than let him go.

After signing Doherty I'm pretty sure the door is closed for Walker. Unless Seriki gets sold, but would anyone take Walker over Seriki at this point?
