Always a bit concerning with our history of not bowing down to agents that Anels could become a pain in the arse, (see what i did there...) but i really hope we don't have an 11th hour hitch, this guy looks excellent and as a few have already said would represent a bit of a coup for SUFC...
Was it the club's history of not bowing to agents or CW's?

i heard he went through the back door for his tour of bramall lane

what’s GERRINTUEM in Bosnian do we know?
I thought this was an Irish guy commentating sounds at start like he says "this must be a leprechaun thing" the confusion for the next few seconds was so troubling

Edit maybe it is an Irish man

I don't wanna pile pressure on the lad but from the clips I've seen he reminds me of a mix between a young Bash and prime JOC. I've already fallen in love with one Bosnian, I'm ready to do it again

Real coup it seems

I would say he's more of a board signing, and I don't blame them, given the difference between what Wilder bought and what they allegedly wanted to

Ak-med-o-dzik

I believe.

What a terrifically random signing btw, if only we did more of this when in the prem

This is a real coup for us, this kid should be playing in a top division, the fact he’s chosen us shines a real light on the recruitment team, 3mil is a bargain he’s worth far more.

He will get piles of clean sheets, especially against arsenal,.let's not hope it's a bum deal and we don't finish bottom of the league

It was clear in the Prem, that we were scouring the national U21 set ups across Europe. I think it was our one global scouting strategy. SoI don't think this is a board signing, or one that Wilder would have been against. I wouldn't be surprised, if we have a few more of his age and ilk on our target list, when an opportunity avails itself. I am pretty sure, we were already aware of Uremovic, which is why we were able to pounce on that chance at the time.

Its a solid strategy for us for a number of reasons.

  • Its a short cut to developing a watch list when you haven't got an international scouting network
  • Those players often go on to be sr. internationals. Post-brexit players need caps to qualify for a visa
  • Young players often come with lower wages.
