If the rumours are true that Daykin has gone to work for the snortbeats, if so he should be strung up by his nads.

Perhaps they thought they were signing a HAndy Donkey

Dont Panic, we can laugh at em when they have a Statue of him in their Car Park .....

I always thought he was a Blade. Obviously not. No problem with him working for them if he isn't.

I've no problem with him working for them if he is! It's not exactly the same as a player transfer is it?

he went to Hull for a while too during the mcDonald era. its just work isnt it really.

Yeah, but i'd let my child starve, walk round with holes in my shoes, and survive on a diet of stale bread and water if it meant that i wouldn't have to lower my principles by working for that shower of shit at Hillsborough.

Anyone who crosses the divide to work at that steaming cess pit of dogshit is nowt but a turncoat Judas Escariot.

Bollocks! If it's true, who knows what the reasons are. If his services were dispensed of by SUFC, he's got mouths to feed, presumably mortgage to pay, his job is football related and he doesn't have to move. It's a job!

Didn't John Harris do some scouting work for them back in the late 1970s? Does that make him a turncoat Judas Escariot as well?

you,re right there BB,a friend of my family worked there, she said it was really grim.sounds like there is a lot more going on behind the scenes

Man in working in administrative role takes on new job for more money shocker!

How many of you would take a wage rise to go to a different employer, regardless of how well each employer is liked or disliked by other people? Why should Daykin, who isn't a Sheffield United supporter, be any different? If you worked for the council for example, a good job on good money in their offices, then another organisation offered you a significant wage rise for doing the same job for them would you take it? Of course you would. Why should Andy Daykin be any different? It's just a job to him. Get over it.

My understanding was that Daykin on his return from Hull was not an employee as such but a self-employed consultant for whose services we paid.

I never met him, but he was brilliant when my wife died after collapsing at the Portsmouth game four years ago. Contacted me, gave me his mobile number. Arranged for the club to send flowers for the funeral. Got me a DVD from sky tv of a Programme about Warnock, my wife was in a clip singing GCB. Hope he is reading this I never did thank him. Thankyou Andy.

PS Good Luck in the new job, Screw the bastards.

Doesn't matter that he's gone he did a half decent job but nothing more - obvioulsy did a good deed for 2ndtenor. Was at the club a long time and maybe it needs a fresh face in that department - the problem isn't Daykin going it's whether the club has any idea how to go about making the right appointment to replace him.
