I don't think Clough questioned his talent, but when players like Alcock and MaGahey were getting in ahead of him because of attitudes and commitment, then it was clearly not the club for butler...just not in cloughs eyes

Comedy maybe, but there's a very big issue there.
Whether or not he is suddenly a disruptive influence for the first and last time in his career (!) and impossible to manage, fact is all our main competitors have a couple like him this season and we have none.
Those precise comments apply to the otherwise "model pro" called Collins too who served us well for years and was indeed built into Clough's plans for this season after working with him for 7 months the previous season.
There's something up somewhere. Butler and Collins would have made us far better off in this morning's league table.
Change the record. Sly digs at the manager over his leadership style will be realised if we do or don't go up. You don't like it I know, you mention it from time to time. Just funny how he gets players who played for him before to play again. If he was so poor wouldn't everyone run a mile from him?
