Got an awful feeling that we will lose both Brooks and Seriki if not this window the summer window. If thats the case just got to hope that big fees are involved and reinvested
After the shite treatment and digs from the management they have had I would not blame them one bit, they are both capable of playing at a higher standard.

The word reinvested worrys me, it probably means quantity over quality again! If so I think we can forget any play off charge for a few seasons, in fact we could end up joining Wednesday keep selling our better players.
I would trust wilder to wheel and deal with say £10m in the Championship. He could get 2 or 3 good players for that.

It's when he has a treasure chest that we worry

Wilder won’t see much of this money or any if we sell Brooks, Hamer, Seriki etc. I think a lot of people are in for a rude awakening about how much of a cash hole we have to fill in the summer with no parachute payments.

Unless the owners put a stack of their own cash in, we will probably need 3 major sales in the summer to balance the books and have a little transfer kitty to work with. The reality is the younger players have more value...so I would say 2 out of Brooks, Peck and Seriki plus Hamer. Nothing outrageous about that, just the economics of the Championship.

Sell that lot and we’d be down to around ten players next August when contracts are up & all the loans go back. And of the ten, there’s three of four you’d surely move on if you could.

I know we have to raise £££s but of what’s left, there are a few here and now players O’Hare, McCallum) a couple of young uns (including Arblaster) and a couple that may want a fresh challenge or a way out.

I’ll accept that Hamer & Peck won’t be here in August but replacing them and Seriki, Brooks and all the rest will be some job for CW.

With such turnover we need to crack on early to get in the key replacements but of course we’re usually messing about when the season has started

Brooks and Sericki have both really come on in leaps and bounds this season. Now both are pretty much regular starters subject to some rotations when we have to play 3 games in 6 days (which is all down to these ridiculous international breaks!). Sericki in particular can do 90 mins and Brooks not far behind. They both have great levels of skill and must be a nightmare to play against. They give us a really great attacking option down the right hand side but are both still capable of doing the defensive side. They play so well together. Both will play at EPL level but I fear not with us. That’s entirely down to our owners putting in Selles as manager and the fuck up with recruitment in summer 2025. This is the worst and most even Championship for years, not dominated by the teams who came down last year and we should have had a really good chance of the autos. Next season Books and Sericki would be unplayable in the Championship but doubt theyll’ll be with us as we’ll have to sell players to balance the books. What a fuck up we’ve made!

Has it not crossed your mind that the tough treatment was designed to push them on!
They both had stagnated in there progress and sometimes a bit of a kick up the arse has a positive effect . Wilder and his staff knew they had the talent to kick on and both now are developing.Would be foolish to move on now! both are no where near the level they could reach and regular 1st team football is what they want! Both are getting it with us and I'm sure there contracts will be upgraded soon.

Yeh , I think we got only £2.5m , not £5m.
Exactly

We also sold him to Hull, who sold him to Leicester who sold him to Man U.

So any stake we would have had in the £80m transfer through sell on was lost in the transfer to Leicester so utterly pointless worrying about it.

I think the best thing Andre Brooks can do for his career right now is own our right-hand side with his mate Seriki. If those two can keep up recent performance levels, they will be formidable next season. They clearly bring the best out in each other and have a very good understanding on the pitch.

The Blades' future's not bright or orange.
It's more like Agent Orange , unless the wacky owners can con some more investment from someone ,
after stumping up what they still owe the Prince.

Tough treatment to a football player nowadays, that’s a laugh,it would have sent them the other way,see many others who just pull the plug and want to go in another direction. They had not stagnated in their progress, they were on an upward trend, then dropped for no reason as their attitude in training wasn’t enough. Then he has the audacity to call them out in public instead of keeping behind closed doors. He doesn’t call out his signings that have had no effect or a disaster has he ?
