Loads of stuff was chucked at them. It's not right but you celebrate your goals trying to goad the KOP then don't be surprised if something is thrown.

It was shown on Sky replay during their live coverage. It looked like a full plastic bottle of water struck him on the leg while they were celebrating in front of the Kop.

I think there was more than one bottle thrown. We were on Kop and it looked liked 2 or 3 bottles. I think it was frustration at their celebrations. Doesn't make it right though

I watched the Ajax v Feyenoord match earlier. Three times the match was suspended then abandoned because of bottles and fireworks being thrown onto the pitch. If the Dutch rules ever are adopted over here, they'll be matches called off every week.

The players would have spent the past half hour being booed, hissed at and insulted by a bunch of 60 year old, bald, overweight men who still think they're football hooligans and a bunch of 20 year old chavs named Hayden in Stone Island tops trying to impress the 60 year old, bald, overweight men by acting like hooligans.

They should be allowed to give a bit baclk when they score.

One of their players went down on the edge of the 18yrd box and a few bottles from the south stand landed around him, can't say a saw anymore, as after the 4th we all left, and don't moan about us leaving early, we turned up to support the players, the least they can do is make an effort, but they couldn't be bothered.
Stayed til the very end at Spurs, as the players deserved it there, but yesterday was embarrassing.

cant be true as there is no evidence of any bottle shown by Sheffield United- must have been Newcastle 'bottle'
