Who? I reckon Pemberton - as I said in the shoutbox, it's the cheap option that will suit McCabe down to the ground.

Leave Pembo where he is. He's doing fine with the kids and doesn't deserve to be chucked in at the deep end.

Don't bother with the cheap option and go and get a decent name FFS.

It's not who I want in, but it's who I reckon McCabe will go for. Just because it's the cheap option, and McCabe loves cheap.

Disaster, keep the bloke doing a good job doing the good job.

We need three names that Smith and Pembo are happy to work with.

Perhaps Exeter or Rochdale will be needing a new manager?

Bearing in mind that he will have an idea of what we are about, we know what he wants based on previous discussions, I think that SOD will soon be installed as odds on favourite at the bookies.

He will be happier as the Blades in L1 is a much less daunting task than the Blades in the Championship.

Also, assuming there is a big clearout, a new manager will have a (relatively) blank canvas to paint. Again I would suggest attractive to him.

Is he just ready for a move to a new "project"? Has he taken Donny as far as he can ??

Not saying its right and I would personally prefer Di Mateo but SOD ticks an awful lot of the boxes that the board will need ticking.

Just such an important decision to get right so I hope they do.

UTB.

problem is that sod was treated with let's say less than the respect he would have expected at his last meeting with our great (sic) leader

orient not exactly tearing up league 4 tho are they?.. personally i couldn't give a monkey's f**k whether they are blades or not.. since when did this become one of the criteria??

Pemberton, simply because he'd be dead cheap and with so much experience in football management is a prime candidate. Failing him the tea lady, she knows the team well and it got the experienced Speed the job.

What about Lenners. He knows a bit about football, and is an expert in knowing where it is all going wrong

I reckon Pembo or Hill.

Although ideally I want Matteo or the PG tips monkey.

The man from Dingleland has been mentioned to me ............................

Would rather we left Pemberton where he is to be honest, he seems to be doing a cracking job and if he get's dropped in the hotseat and things don't go well we'll have lost another manager AND the only person at the club who people seem to agree is doing a good job.

I agree. Keep Pembo where he is!

We need somebody bringing in who has no ties to the club. The last few have had these connections and not really managed to do much. It's not the time to be sentimental.

Dickie Bird?

Ronnie Moore and Stuart McCall are missing from the list, not that I'd want them but very little would surprise me nowadays. Well, barring us making the right appointment, now that would be a surprise!

I'd have Morgs,
He'd get them playing simply because they'd be scared of him

Like where you're coming from but like S64 Blade says it really needs to be someone with no ties to the club. No sentiment, no favourites in the squad, no preconceived ideas on who plays where, just an ability to get the best out of the players and play a reasonable standard of football.
