I can't see any road back for adams now.

12 Games without a win, and has missed a glorious opportunity this week to take points from teams around us. It Was Robson's failure to beat the bottom 2 teams that did it for his job, will we see something similar for adams?

Personally i think we'll see an interim appointment til the end of the season. We won't want to be the club that has had 4 'Permanent' managers in one season.

So who will it be?

Corky?
Pembo?
Mark Smith?

Or Bassett?

Or somebody else?

Bassett, I see no other way.

Not that I support that, but I agree, I think Micky is done. 5 managers in a season?? Utterly stuffed.

Will be very interested to see if Adams walks now, he sounded a defeated man on tuesday and its hard to see any way back for this team now.
Can't see Bassett wanting the job, he is supposedly Adams mate.

Yes, a payoff would be true for him to jump, but sacking him would cost more. I dont want another managerial change but shouldnt we be improving under him?

Although he sounds down, he seems quite defiant in his post match interview (listening to it now).

I don't think the board will sack him. Nor do I think he'll walk. Think he'll stayn at least until the end of the season.

Steve Coppell assisted by Pembo.

Bring back football!

Adams (and henchmen) OUT!!!

hopefully he go, he brought in crap like marcus bent who has'nt scored for the last two years and in a team that that's not scoring don't think that's the answer watched him at ipswich the other week and he was shocking are best two players were on the bench and he's the half decent ones go out on loan.

David Brent..

Or Bill Maynard...

"He's the Gaffer" (please note that you have to be at least 35 to get that.. :) )

I know it would never happen, because our board have no ambition, but in a ideal world (and if he ever leaves Blackpool), this man...

Ollie can work on a budget, and gets the best out of his players - who'd run through brick walls for him.

Unfortunately,at this time, our lot couldn't punch their way through a wet Green 'Un.

From would he said on whinge or grumble he ain't going to walk. He'd be out of a job with no financial sweetner. He is only human after all and he has a family to feed. But the board need to get rid because with him we are definitely going down and probably withoout another win. He's been dealt a bad hand but he clearly has no idea what to do.

The board need to pay him off and bring in someone on a massive stay up bonus.

Two things wrong with that statement. We've very little money remember. Doubt we can afford a pay off or a stay up bonus.

Or Matteo, Holloway or any other of the so called ideal managers. We've got what we can afford, both in manager and players. Nothing to do with ambition.

Sure McCabe would love for us to be in the Prem, but we can't afford it and no amount of "sack the board" chants will change that.

McCabe can afford it. He's richer than most football club owners. He just doesn't give a shit.

His money. Throwing our toys out the pram and chanting "sack the board" won't encourage him. All we can hope is some rich and foolish billionaire comes along.

His money.

It is his money and he can do with it what he wants, but how much more money do you think he will lose if we go down? The club will be earning less, it's value will be less and the potential for finding a new investor will be even slimmer. IMHO he needs to dig deep now. A new manager might (and I only say might) be able to turn this around just enough to keep us up. If he did then he'd be worth a bonus.

MA is not the man for the job. That much has to be obvious to everyone who was there today. I don't care how nice a bloke or big a blade he is - get rid before the next game.

I'd like anybody to tell me the name of a manager that could have got us out of the mess we're in.

Micky has brought in five players: Lowry, Bent and Riise on loan, Doyle and Collins permanent. He has almost no money to spend. If you have pennies, you can't afford to shop at Harrods. For me, Riise and Lowry look useful - Lowry is nearest thing we have to Morgan right now - but Bent, Collins and Doyle look poor. But if they were any good, would they be here? Look at Harewood - he'd rather sit in the comfort zone at Oakwell rather than fight for something at the Lane. Ditto Kilgallon. What can he do?

The rest are not his players. He has got some of them fighting but they were shit before he came and they will be shit after they have left us. The league table does not lie.

I'm sorry, but it's incredibly harsh to judge Adams on this lot. I can't think of a manager that could stop this. Too many egos, too many mediocre players getting a fortune ... you can count the players on one hand that deserve to wear our badge right now. Other than Evans, Quinn and Lowton (maybe Boggy), there is nobody. Nobody. That's not Adams fault.

The rot set in a long time ago. Micky deserves a chance to work from a clean slate. If the board were to blame him by sacking him, that would be so short-sighted ... the board need to look at their decisions over the past four years.

Make your mind up. In your last post you said McCabe would love us to be in the Prem but we can't afford it.

rattly noise has something of the mccabes about him, i fear. simon?

That's about as realistic a proposition as asking for Mourinho or Wenger. Coppell is no more likely to be Sheffield United's next manager than Angelina Jolie or Basil Brush.

I wanted Keith Hill after Speed, and I still want him now.

It sounds like I'm coming out

All good points Wombwell, the squad is pretty crap, but it's full of people who have either played at this, or premiership level. It's good enough to stay up (just) in my opinion.

The fact is that the Mini-league with the 4 worst teams in the division, Adams has picked up 0 Points, and that is a damning indictment on his record.

I would get rid now, put Pembo in charge of the first team, to bring some players through from the youth and Dev squads, and keep Bassett on to handle all non playing matters in a director of football/General manager type role.
