Cotterill was playing so well on the right in the first half, so why did blackwell switch him?, went a bit flat after that.

Why was halford taken off?

and when did craig beattie become a left winger?

Ward must start infront of webber, given that he is a striker, that actually has a shot at goal.

Yeah I was scratching my head when I saw Beattie on left wing.

Only when he pushed him upfront did he look more dangerous.

Blackwell needs to realize Webber is not a left winger and neither is Beattie.

Done it a number of times, sometimes quite effective and gives the defenders something to think about. Didn't really achieve much today though.

Why was halford taken off?

Because he was playing with an illness.

Yes, disappointed, but, according to RS we played really well first half untill the 1-1, and worked hard to get that 2-2 in the second half. Halford was sick, so he had to go off, did not understand why Beattie had to play left wing. Webber played there alot earlier, so it would be simple to get Beattie next to Henderson and Webber as a left winger.
Anyway, typical Blades, not taking points while teams around drop points as well. Reach the play offs is the max we can get now I think.

Beattie look excellent and composed when he came on.
He looked comfortable with the ball and willing to keep it and think before passing it.

Him playing on the left is no different to Halford/Cotterill playing on the left as they are both right footed.
We are struggling for a left winger at the moment and have a lot of injuries so fitting players in where needed is essential.

on another note I thought Killa looked a bit off his game last night, he seemed to make a lot of bad decisions and get the wrong side of who he was marking.

Anyone would think Killa was the one sick last night after his performance.

Morgan and Killa Both had complete shockers to be fair. Killa was a little shakey at QPR aswell, maybe needs a rest?

I think he's gotten away with some pretty dodgy mistakes the past 2 or 3 games.

Last night he wasn't so lucky.

I've got to agree that webber aint good enough for the starting 11, he really does need dropping... he has been consistantly poor all season to be honest. Yes he has scored a few recently but they have all been sitters. We need to look at the ones he has missed too, i hear he really should of scored last night too?
he provides us very little and loses the ball far too frequentley. Sounds like we were unlucky last night and a mistake or two at the back cost us? (couldnt get to the game). But RS described our first half perforamance as completley one-sided and blackpool's first goal was extremely lucky...

Because he was playing with an illness.

Why did Blackwell pick him if he was ill? Clueless idiot strikes again!

Halford was poor....but so was evrey one else!

The only positive was Jamie Ward he looked a threat and on a different day could of scored a few

I'd assume young Gregory thought he was well enough to put in a performance. It was increasingly obvious this wasn't the case though.

So the players are picking themselfs now :D

if your ill, your not playing! infecting the other players... tut... more for linz to nurse! haha!

No, but many managers rely on the final word from the players regarding their fitness. No-one knows better than the man himself whether or not he feels up to it.

Perhaps most of his symptoms came out during the first half?

:)

Hows the toe? ;)

i manage myself so i pick myself!

Halford cant be very good at judging if his nose is snotty or not ;)

linz - Morgans first on the bench for some vix rubbing in!

Does tonsillitis give you a runny nose? I dunno, never had it :)

Well if Linz turns up with Tonsillitis, you'll know what she's been upto.

(she still got em?lol)

I don't understand why everyone has decided Ward was a big threat on Tuesday night, he only got in behind the defence once.

He looked lively, but other than getting the penalty, which came from a mistake by him, where he really should have scored himself anyway, he didn't really do much else for me. I think if Webber would have done the same people would have been calling for his head, but that's just opinion.

For me, the difference was that Ward wasn't afraid to crack off a few shots. You can't score if you don't shoot. Webber was guilty of trying to dribble the ball into the goal mouth, despite this clearly not working.

Ward had several shots on target, forced some good saves, won a penalty

Webber ran around like a headless chicken all night, was ball greedy, then missed a sitter.

Ok, but how much of your statement is down to pre-conception? I get the impression that you think Ward is "great" and Webber is "shite".

Webber had a good first half but the last 10 minutes before his substitution has left a lasting picture in a lot of fans' minds.

You've picked out the positives of Ward's game and completely disregarded all the positives that Danny Webber brought to the game.
