Nice reply
You'll all be back to slagging him off next week
Well, it’s bollocks
And people have been quick to slate him, considering he’s a kid. Couldn’t agree more. Can you find any evidence of me slagging him off then?

No
But he's been subject to it like all the other players

I wouldn't personally slag him off, but I'm not going to forget that he's not pulled any trees up either, and he doesn't really look like he's that bothered about being here

Can you really blame him for not wanting to be here? He has no affiliation with us and he came into a squad that were performing abysmally, and morale was probably rock bottom. I'm a life long supporter and I wouldn't have wanted to be there.

I was saying he should be used at LCB and was shot down on here for suggesting it.

He's certainly grown into that role and until JOC returns is my first choice there.

Said the same many times. But i've also called him an absolute fraud for some of the most pathetic performances i've seen. Hopefully, that corner has been turned, and we're going to see more of the players we all expected.

Everyone played well but I'm not convinced he wants to be here.

Players on loan from Chelsea Man Utd etc tend to be one of two kinds.

Those that genuinely see a loan move as an opportunity to give his parent club something to think about or get a move elsewhere.

And those that see the club they're loaned to as beneath them

Ampadu falls into the latter category for me at the moment
I don’t see any reason to believe that.
His performance in the last two games would suggest that he is a professional doing a job to the best of his ability

The shout on this thread for us to enquire about taking him permanently is a good one, and one that hadn't occurred to me. I think he's getting better but doubt he will ever be Chelsea standard and let's face it, they're sacking off Loftus-Cheek, Tomori, and have come close to losing Abraham and Hudson-Odoi too, who are all more ready than he is.

I can see him leaving but to somewhere in the PL that will offer him a platform and good money, like a Southampton.

Not saying it's true, just the way I feel about him.
He's had 20 games, played well twice, tossed it off the rest

Could say that for most of them. Ampadu has played well in more than 2 games for sure, he was one bad touch away from getting a shot away after a box to box run. He also defended (as they all did) brilliantly.

That’s a bit harsh. He’s only a young lad and is coming into an extremely close knit group of much more senior players. Not his responsibility to lift the team.

That’s the only position he’s looked a decent player. He may or not want to be a midfielder, he may or may not eventually get there... but right now he’s not a leader to play the Egan role and his distribution is shocking for the Norwood role
