I think SOD will need time and money to turn things round and get a side playing attractive winning football. United have neither.
It's all well and good wanting to play like Arsenal, but at the minute we are at the arse end of the Championship needing results, and need to dig in to win point and can't see a manager of the style of SOD achieving this. Pretty football is all well and good when you are looking towards the right end of the table, but when you are fighting for your lives and need to turn things round then passing football looks awful when you are losing results at the wrong end of the table.
I'm not sure he'd keep us up this season.
It's easy to spot that SOD has done a good job at Donny but without real expectations and demands from fans (which has been said over and over again). What is "championship experience" btw? SOD is in his third season now and Donny has done well but is that really experience? Does Hughton have Championship experience for winning the leauge? Does Gary Speed have championship experience? Where do you draw the line? I honestly feel he (SOD) doesn't have enough championship experience to manage a team like Sheffield United.
We need someone experienced (with a capital E) and in my opinon that is Steve Coppel (whom I voted for in the poll yesterday).
I hope he gets it!![]()
Coppell is an interesting call, but who would you want to replace him after Christmas?
That would be me in an ideal world but since Coppel would stabilize us in midtable it wouldn't happen I am afraid.
Quite right. And watch us go the season after.
SOD has got Donny playing good football....scoring some goals!

I don't want him ,boring bloke ,boring football ,never been impressed with Donny at all and believe they will be bottom third if he stays there. Not keen on Adams either ,but I will be right behind whoever we appoint. I just wish it would be Brown.
