I realise this has probably been done a thousand times before but.

Who is your all-time blades XI?

RULE (only 1) - you must have seen them play in a blades shirt. Therefore TC can't be in mine as i'm only lickle (31)

Mine would be (hope the formatting works):

Thread bump..

Billy Sharp is nearering a place and Mark Duffy is threatening Ndlovu's place.

Having watched United since the early 1960s, I'd hazard a guess, if Brooks is still playing for the boys in five years time, he would be in the all-time XI.

Just an opinion.

* No more than a gnats bollock between Agana, Fjortoft, Blake, Beattie (first time), Bent (first time), Evans (2011-12) but I'm giving Agana the nod because of the chemistry with the other striker named who is obviously a shoe in.

Just Re-reading this thread and a bit disappointed to see nobody opting for McAllister as keeper. Pre-Marsh (twat) he was looking like becoming one of the best. Also a shout for Geoff Salmons, would figure in my best ever in a Blades shirt.

1. Alan Kelly

2. Phil Jagielka
3. David Unsworth
4. Tony Kenworthy
5. Jack O'Connell

6. Glenn Cockerill
7. Carl Bradshaw
8. Michael Brown
11. Dane Whitehouse

9. Keith Edwards
10. Brian Deane

Some might be surprised at my inclusion of Unsworth, but I saw him a number of times and thought he was very good and very influential in that promotion season. Kenworthy was my favourite player. Picked Bradders just for the joy of watching him play against Psycho Pearce. Cockerill was the most energetic midfielder I've ever seen. Edwards was best finisher and I reckon him and Deane would be ideally suited.

So many others though; Colin Morris, Borbokis, Agana, Holdsworth, Bryson, Fleck, Coutts, Duffy, Sharp

Said this before but you bolt Harris' 60s 2-6 together with his 70's 7-11. The goalie covers both eras. Thus:

Hodgy, Coldwell, Shaw G, Richardson, Shaw J, Summers, Woody, Salmons, Dearden, TC, Reece.

There's been better players in individual positions but you'd ruin the integrity of the team. That combination would give anyone a game.

1. McAllister
2. Badger
3. Hemsley
4. Jagielka
5. Colquhoun
6. Hockey
7. Woodward
8. Edwards
9. Deane
10. Currie
11. Salmons

Easier than I thought. Only issue I had was leaving out Dane Whitehouse, didn’t seem right but I couldn't leave out Salmons.

As I'm old enough and fortunate enough to have seen Jimmy Hagan and Joe Shaw, here is my offering;

Alan Hodgkinson

Len Badger Phil Jagielka Joe Shaw Graham Shaw

Alan Woodward Tony Currie Jimmy Hagan Dane Whitehouse

Keith Edwards Brian Deane

Very close to mine, but which includes probably the Blades most forgotten hero Colin Grainger, a brilliant, strong goal scoring winger who is the only English player to have ever scored two goals against Brazil in a game which I was fortunate enough to watch.

I'm lining up 4 -1-2-3 , a format that brought great success to Chelsea a few years ago and the players are

Alan Kelly

Len Badger. Joe Shaw. John Flynn Graham Shaw

Trevor Hockey

Jimmy Hagan. Tony Currie

Alan Woodward. Brian Deane. Colin Grainger

Assuming all were at the peak of their careers, that team would wipe the floor with most , if not all of today's Premiership teams and their so called superstars

I'm related to Colin Grainger.
