I used to work on a holiday camp back in the 80’s. There was a group of us who were United fans. We ran swimming classes for the kids on holiday. We recorded a large group of kids chanting “ ooh arr Bob Booker”.
We managed to get the tape to United and Bob sent us all signed pictures.
For this alone Bob will always a legend.

It's great reading through these players, the odd one I'd forgotten shout but you read the name and the memories come flooding back!

If anyone feels like doing a "cu*t XI" also then go ahead.. Blake and Hammond are two definites. Evans even though not a criminal comes across as a tosser. As does Kyle Walker in honesty.

Hard to pick a manager but given the quality at his disposal Robson seems a strong shout.. Bruce also for decimating Spackman's team and the way he's conducted his career in general whilst underachieving in most jobs hes had.

As for cu*t owner.. I'd have to go McCabe just for continually appointing horrific managers, to see the entire list of McCabe managers is the stuff of genuine nightmares.

Joe Bolton, Bob Atkins, Bobby Hatton.

More than 50 posts in and mine is only the 2nd mention of Bob Hatton?

This forum must be populated by members with substantial memory loss, rocks for brains, or perhaps a lot younger than I'd anticipated

And why no mention of the drinkers favourite boozie footballer?
I speak of the greatest celebrator of victory and promotion by United who goes by the name of Richard Stearman... if I remember correctly, when selected, he always played well for us.
I might also mention Pedro Verde who allegedly stole a certain trophy and his nephew Juan Sebastián Verón who somehow muddled himself up and joined Newton Heath instead of his favourite team...

Gareth Taylor people nearly lost their sh&t over when we were supposedly willing to let him go

Bob Hatton, Colin Morris and Keith Waugh

Dane, Deano, Agana and Mitch

Bob Booker, Dougie Hodgson and Bradders

Coutts, Duffy, Fleck and Sharp

Good days…..

Jon Harely was a hero for a short while had a chant any everything

Everyone seems to forget about Glen Cockerill, much underrated player, never should of allowed him to leave on the cheap
