Must be honest, I thought I went to games the season after the european challenge failure... Didn't realise the game was basically done for the season from a spectator perspective.

our fist season when we finished 9th showed how much our crowd helps , we only were barred from the last few games and out confidence carried us through some of those , but being in front of an empty stadium did for us

Surely the reaction to your OP, from those critical of Wilder and those that are big fans (like myself), should tell you that you've got it wrong.

Multiple people have taken it as though you were calling out those critical of Wilder, and it is exactly how it reads. If you meant to do otherwise, you've got a bizarre way of showing it. I genuinely can't believe you're denying that was the intention. I've never seen the phrase "where are you now?" used in a context other than to call someone out.

I think football fans should be cultish towards their team, manager and players, most of the time. I chant his name at games and I'd buy him a pint if I saw him out. But putting that cultish behaviour within a decisive, petty OP just divides the two camps even further.

I counted more than five on the first page! Many took it well, but they still took it as:

The hoof it down the field only for it to come straight back, while WBA who weren't actually that good just pass it on the floor quickly forward.
Opposition teams seem to be able to come out a totally different side to the one in the first half and we can't seem to deal with that.
I don’t know if Wilders giving out bottles of Peroni at half time or what but he's certainly getting out thought by Opposition managers.

Full stadium didn’t help against Birmingham first game back tho did it?
if you look at slumps during covid for teams about our size and with similar resources I think you’ll find it was only us that it was such a factor with not the shyte players we recruited and the loss of JOC

It was a championship game, different players different manager, going in with a totally different attitude and 17 players had gone, under weird al Jokanovic
fans expectations and backing , not the same backs against the wall attitude not there
still made the plaY OFFS WITH A CROWD

If the rumours (/facts) were true that Wilder's remaining contract was being paid off in monthly instalments from the time he was sacked and then we sacked Selles so presumably have to pay him off too. In a way financially it made sense for Wilder to "continue his contract" and we are only paying 2 managers rather than a 3rd
