I like that he plays on the shoulder & goes in behind. When Mousset is missing, or out out form we really miss having that outlet.

Someone who can run the channels & pose a threat on the counter.

Our poorer performances this season have come when we have had McBurnie up front with Robinson, or McGoldrick.

I think a striker with pace, power and ability to stretch defences will be high on our list.

Is the standard of Turkish football anything close to the standard of the PL? I imagine if Marc McNulty was playing in the Scottish Div 3 he’d look really good. There’s a massive difference between playing against Big Jock McTackler and VVD.

Typical of Warnock though, nothing like letting the truth get in the way!

Warnock commented on his form at Palace, where Sørloth's confidence was shattered. This season's been his break through season in terms of goal scoring outside Scandinavia. He's also starting to get on the score sheet for Norway. I think he's the type of striker that Wilder thinks fits his current system. Big, strong, but still quite mobile. If he's good enough to score regularly in the Premiership remains to be seen though.

The agreed prize is less than £6m, apparently.

WHAT!!!!!!! If you're right Bergen, and I don't doubt you for a second, that would seem a 'come and get me' moment. Just so I haven't confused what it is you're suggesting, the transfer would be approximately £6 million? And whilst I appreciate some of the cynicism surrounding clips and what they prove, of course a clip wouldn't suffice when it came to judging the quality of a player. There would need to be red and white eyes watching this guy to vouch for his suitability to play for us.

That's the fee Trabzonspor have apparently agreed with Palace. They (Trabzonspor) would probably want three times that from any suitors.

Cheers Balham.

So it's correct to view this transfer as a done deal?

Trabzonspor have a loan-to-buy agreement with Palace, price is set at circa £6m. I'm unsure on how contractually binding that is - in other words, can Sorloth refuse?

My guess would be that it probably is enforceable as I would think it had to be agreed by all parties (player included) prior to the move. Trabz will exercise their right to purchase and would likely shift him on if they could turn a quick profit (offers in the region of £20m) .

Trasbzonspor have just been banned from Europe next season so they won't be a CL club afterall

Must admit I found him to be good in the Air, but with the space given him especially when usually showing him onto his favoured left foot; he would have to be dire to miss the chances gifted by defensive and goalkeeper mistakes

Hodgson is a good coach and if he shipped him off not sure we should be paying big money for him ...unless we could swop for Mcburnie !

Agent scatter gun approach it’s always us, Newcastle and Villa mentioned

This is a strange one. Trabzanspor have him on a 2 year loan with £6m fee agreed at the end of his loan. only been there a year.

I'd like us to take a look at Sorloth again, he's been out on loan at Real Sociedad from RB Leipzig this season, scoring 11 and assisted 2, also managed 24 goals in 34 games at Trabzonspor in 19/20.

Seems like a decent one for a foreign loan, ticks the box for a striker, and a low risk punt with high potential for reward?

Any reason he's not actually playing for Leipzig themselves?

Surely they won't loan him again
It's an odd one, loaned for 2 seasons, perhaps he's on an inflated contract?

He's signed a 5 year contract in 2020, so not out of the realms of possibility he'll get loaned again... but could be up for sale next? i'd imagine 10m euros would probably get him considering his history and 2 years left on his deal
