I don’t know the details of your problem, but for many years I have found the ticket office to be very helpful when I have phoned rather than e mailed.
I agree that doesn’t exonerate them for using AI.

Usually our customer support has been top draw. A shame if it’s got to AI levels of laziness.

Not saying the club aren't using AI as part of their emails, but it's worth noting to anyone reading this thread that there is no such thing as a true AI text detector, and anyone trying to tell you there is may be trying to sell you something.

This is not true for AI image detection, where some digital watermarking technology (e.g. SynthID) can show if an image (again, not text) was made by AI

Until, that is, duh-duh-duhh, they are replaced by Chinese robots.

they've been great whenever I've emailed, including quite recently. That might be acceptable as an initial response but if that's after 5 emails it's a bit shit. Hope that's not a sign of things to come.

This is what you get when you try to merge technologies from generations apart.

They were told numerous times "No, you can't add ChatGPT to a Fax machine... but you can turn ChatGPT into a Fax machine of sorts. Just get rid of the Fax machine!"

Did they listen?

The other guy, Little, looks like one of the guys from the thread about ex-Forum posters ten years ago, you know the one with the photos from the Adrian Mole lookalike convention.

I emailed the ticket office last Friday, got a human response to my issue on Monday, I followed up with a ‘Thank you’ and some further details that they requested and they’d responded to that and completed the request for me within 30 mins.

They may have passed all of the emails through AI, but it’s only like doing a spellcheck for a lot of people nowadays, with copilot being built into outlook.

I personally don’t use it, my work email writing skills are legendary, and I don’t want a computer taking the credit.

Is the issue with AI or are you pissed because you timed out and then missed the renewal dead line ?

Disclaimer human sat on bog half asleep typing with no AI input in this reply

I like reading things that are AI generated and guessing what the input was.

in this case:

please generate a professional email I can send in response to the attached email.

He is a dozy fucker, who let the purchase time out and now is moaning at me that they can't get the cheaper price.

I don't know what I am meant to reply, I am bored at work as there isn't even any transfer news about SUFC to discuss. I don't mind it when old people ask me for help on the phone, but when these twitter types send me 5 emails I don't have the patience.

Like it or not, we are now in a world where AI is used across many technologies. If you use a smartphone, social media, online banking, online shopping, Amazon etc it's been in use for many years.

The haters really make me laugh! It's the outrage: "How dare you use AI to create this, create that?" I get sick of people complaining about it in the pub, to be honest - have to take myself away from convos.

Google / Search Engine - AI
Netflix suggestions - AI
Spellcheck - AI
Amazon feed - AI

OP better cancel his Amazon, Tesco, Netflix, and the rest!! 😄

There is a big difference between machine learning algorithms, and generative AI.
