Aguero says

I hate to say it because a Troll on another thread has used their goal as bait tonight - but what an incredible ball from De Bruyne and that brilliance was equalled in Agueros off the ball movement and anticipation.

Massively proud of our lot tonight. The only thing that could separate us was that moment of sheer quality and there is no shame in losing to something like that.

Fantastic player , does it time and time again , that’s the difference, give him a chance and he takes it , we get a small chance and we don’t , same every time you play the big players /clubs .
This is right, 4gamesagainst the top 2and we get 0 points. Maybe could have got 2 points over the 4 games but that generally isn't how it plays out. They were quality and we nearly did it. 14 games to go and 7th

You could see that goal coming before the ball was passed into the box Aguero stepped away from Egan as soon as DeBruyne got the ball, quality play helped by a bit of poor defending. Apart from Hendo and the two who started up front I thought we were poor all over the pitch McBurnie or Hendo MOTM for us

The minute he was pitch side, waiting to come on, I said to Mrs G, "you know what happens next?", and of course it did.

We made them look so average tonight, until that moment, but that is what makes the difference.

So glad he was on the bench tonight. When fit he should play every game, he’s by far the best striker in the Premier league.

Similar - I said to the lad next to me "oh shit Ageuro's coming on". Felt he would get summat and he did

There is probably as much Pep in that statement, as there is Aguero tbf. Pep will have watched us closely all season, as he does with all teams in the league. And from his last interview [pre match] it sounds like he watched a fair bit of us, or at least knew a lot about us [partly from Bielsa maybe?] during our previous seasons.

He will have been very wary prior to the game at the Etihad, and you get the feeling that they knew they got away with a few things that night. Since then you can bet your life that he will have been obsessing about how to nullify us and hammering this home to his players. This will have been tagged as one of the hardest fixtures they had to play.

Aguero is one of his main lieutenants, and will echo his manager's voice in this.

Wow, Wilder and Knill.....just.......fuck me.............well not literally of course, they aren't really my type, but you get where I am coming from?!

When the subs board went up, you could hear a rumble around the whole home end. I think everyone was saying the same thing.

Weears that shouty box thingy?
Has it been suspended or summat?

Yep, someone [I won't name him] decided that a few folk were picking on him in there, so tagged them all to admin and instructed them to review shoutbox activity. Just a perfect way to finish off an evening fixture against the PL champions.

His team lost 0-5 to a slightly less shit team at the weekend, so he is a bit touchy.

Average !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The highlights don’t show the full build up of their goal (maybe the extended highlights will). The run from sterling straight across the box dragged Basham all the way from RCB to LCB, leaving a big hole between Egan and Baldock for aguero to run into. It was still a fantastic ball from De Bruyne (hardly surprising).

I am not blaming Basham for this by the way the midfield hadn’t got back in due to the pace of their counter so he had to go across to avoid the 3 on 2 with de bruyne, mahrez and sterling.

Potentially Baldock could have come across and narrowed the gap but he was recovering from the counter too.

I guess you just have to hold your hands up to conceding on a fast counter ending with a world class pass fromDe Bruyne and great movement from one of the worlds best strikers.

Yeah. When Aguero came on we were easily keeping Man City at arms length. In my ultimate wisdom I stood up a shouted “Come on Sergio see what you do against a decent defence, you overrated Argie prick”
The moment that stupid, inexplicable jumble of words came out of my mouth......I knew and everybody around me knew Aguero was going to score. When he eventually did, everybody looked round at me as though it was my fault.

De Bruyne...wow :0
De Bruyne is one of those players that just seems to stroll around the pitch but he is always where the ball is! Doesn't look like there is anything to him but when you watch in real life you see (which you don't on tv in fairness) his pace is incredible. In a nice way, I really hate him. When people talk about world class players he is up there.
