Is it time for another BIFA? If not, why not? And if it is a good idea, to have a broad movement of fans who are completely independent from the club, but hold it to account, how would it work in this digital age?

Sadly, I think we need to let McCabe clear up those debts before we make him really hate us. Which given we're on our 4th manager this season, gives us nobody to shout at. Which is hard.

Don't we have BIFF for that? ;)

Not wishing to sound apathetic, but as much as McCabe's era is indeed ending in disaster, he is trying to move on anyway. I don't feel protest is going to achieve as much as it did in the Brearley era.

The trouble isn't that he wants us to run at cost. That's reasonable. It's the complete and utter arse that the board and management have made of the transition (Birch, McCabe and Blackwell in particular). What we get in return for our outlay on wages is pathetic.

I'm not talking about managers. MA is, as somebody else has said elsewhere, an innocent bystander. I just wonder if the hierarchy at the club shouldn't be critically questioned by a collective of fans with some sort of mandate from a broad representation of the people who are the lifeblood of the club.

He's not really that innocent. He picks the teams. He motivates the players. He signed Collins and Doyle. He brought in Bent. He gets paid well. He's not won in 11 games. He makes the decision about who to bring in; not the top level management.

It's a fine idea Mr J but I wonder if McCabe has got so much control he'll give a shit.
A supporters trust might not be a bad idea if aimed at acquiring a reasonable shareholding to be able to hold him to account.
At the moment, what would BIFA be able to say beyond what a cock-up that plank's made of everything?

Given he wants out anyway, I don;t see what we could hope to achieve. The only way to speed it up is to stay away, not renew and reduce the value of the club to buttons so he either has to cut and run and incur the losses he should for this level of mis-management, or he loses it in Administration9but gets the freehold which I suspect he's already got his eye on). Either way, the relationship is now broken,I for one have no interest in anything he says anymore.

Was going to write much the same really. Adams is hardly the innocent little lamb. In a triple-shit Chocolate gateaux, he is merely the brown flakes on top. But they're still flakes made of shit.

That's the thing isn't it. You just don't believe a word he says and he owns our club, lock, stock and barrel.
The relationship's broken, the club's broken and really sadly many, many Blades of many years standing have simply had enough and won't be going to the Lane any more.
It's not as if we need to organise a fans' boycott, there'll be well under 15,000 home fans for matches before the end of the season as it is.
Next season, we're looking at around 12,000.
Just really sad and there doesn't appear a flying f we can do about it.

Things arent that much different are they? Brealey wanted to go too as I recall, he was just trying to screw any potential buyer for as much coin as he could. I suppose thats the difference, no one wants to tuch us with a turd stained stick now.

We have got the manager we have, and he has got the budget he has, because of the decisions that were taken once we got to the PL. Its not his fault, he's the symptom of a much deeper malaise.
