Praises the squad over and over again for getting back into the match from 3-0 down.

He rested Coutts so he would be ready to feature against Colchester.

He said James Wallace needs to be playing football regularly every week hence the loan move. Adkins seemed to indicate that Wallace isn't confident in himself to play regularly.

He expects Dean Hammond to sign on a permanent deal.

Interesting comment of "who knows" at the end when asked if we are looking to sign George Moncur.

If we get the right players in then we can still pull this off.

Over to you Nige. ;)

Sounds like we are definitely in for Moncur.

Agreed, Nigel will often nip transfer rumours in the bud when specific names are mentioned and there's nowt in it.

Would be surprising though, read on here that the lad is a dyed in the wool spammer who was in their academy around 2007. Probably why he enjoyed scoring against us so much.

I don't think it matters who he supports, he's a professional footballer. If we offer him the best contract and he thinks he can progress his career with us he will sign.

Obviously NA pleased with the comeback as we all were and used it throughout the interview to praise the players. That said I would expect there were strong words as to why they allowed the game to nearly get away from them. He did allude to the first teams job is to win football games, while we credit the grit determination, winning enough games to gain promotion is the sole aim of NA and the players. Hammond looks to be a done deal, I hope the club have kept within the financial restraints we should have or it totally contradicts KM statement at the AGM, something we probably won't know until the shit hits the fan and it's rolled out as another excuse for tightening the purse strings.

Hammond on a permanent deal yet no centre halves for six months.
Jesus.

How does this bloke manage to get his cock out to piss yet alone get teams out of a league.

He's not showing anything of his CV yet.

I think he banked too much on signing Dan Burn in the summer.

And it seems he still hasn't given up, despite Burn featuring in Fulham's first team recently. I think we need to move on and look at alternatives.

I hope he has other targets lined up this time.

Minor point, but there's been no talk of a permanent deal at this stage – Adkins said previously that they're looking to extend the loan. There are two permanent deals Adkins said he's looking at in addition to Hammond's loan deal.

Fair enough, I thought Adkins had plans to eventually sign him on a permanent deal.

I didn't realise NA was now doing Brannigan's job as well.

What's David Edgar?

One of the three centre halves we needed in July.

Unfortunately Kennedy wasn't No2, I'd have loved him to have been.

We need three so the incumbents don't get complacent and to cover for injuries and suspensions.

This was a basic requirement that we have totally bollocked up.

We needed 2 centre halves at the very least, and as first priority before anything else.

The failure to do that has and will continue to cost us so long as we go without addressing it. Responsibility for which lays purely with Adkins. He chose two strikers over two centre halves, simple as that.

The money was there. I don't know what planet he lives on but it certainly isn't Earth.

Travel back 8 months, what would we have said if it were to be revealed we weren't going to prioritise the defence, and only make a half hearted last ditch punt on a Championship reject after a thrashing at Gillingham?

Something tells me we wouldn't have accepted it, so why are the majority doing exactly that now? Mind boggling.
