A few highlights

• Wallace had/has a calf in jury
• have to allow players to make mistakes - JCR alluded to this, but perhaps misrepresented it as being applauded for bad passes as opposed to being applauded for imaginative or adventurous but on that occasion unsuccessful passes
• Bury might well park the bus, got the first goal at league leaders Walsall and then held on to their lead
• been working on breaking this down in training
• lots of sports science being used
• Sat-Tue-Sat is a routine unfamiliar to young players - This is a very good point: when I were a lad (early- to mid-twenties) I sometimes played W*******y afternoon, Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday morning - not because my undoubted but underappreciated talents were in demand by ambitious teams, just bc I loved playing. Nowadays, after so many overuse injuries in young players their game time is limited, as it is in other sports eg cricket.
• Manager of the Month nomination: it's a team effort from everyone at the club
• you can lead from behind - first time I saw this idea articulated was in Mandela's autobiography*

There's more of course (and it's always great to hear him interviewed) but for me that's the most substantial stuff.

*Which one is the best leader? It's at least five minutes since we had a poll.
