A few lies that Done is not happy in the current set up and it looks like it on the last two home games. Every chance he could be off in January.

Player for player we should have pissed on Millwall
He had 2 options when he inherited this squad.
1 - Sign the right players in the right positions first, and quality one's.
2 - Sign players lacking quality, in the wrong positions first. Then continue in failing to strengthen key areas.
The bad results have a lot to do with his decision to choose route 2.
He shouldn't be able to get away with pointing to the squad whilst his glaring errors that have contributed to it go un-noticed.
Why stick him wide or sammon and Adams down the middle ? What is he thinking about ??Aye possibly, he's been banging them in but ends up stuck out wide, can't blame the lad.
Well after 15 league matches under Clough we had more points than we do now and we were still in the League Cup. And Clough's attacking options were pretty much limited to McNulty and Higdon. So yes, based on results so far you could say Adkins is no better than Clough.

The funds he was given for the four players he did sign was easily enough to sign four players but in the correct positions. You're assuming he's had adequate funds and support. Your speculation amounts to a load of nonsense.

Player for player we should have pissed on Millwall ,poor management cost us today in my opinion.

Very true ! We have to sit it out and wait for a clear out come summer , one things for sure is that we need stability at this club. I just hope atkins is still with us by then , it's going to be a long haul getting out of this division, but I believe we'll get there in the end ......we have to stick with him, we are down here for another three seasons minimum so we may as well keep some consistency.
Next summer a hell of a lot of dead wood we have been saddled with will be gone, then starts a new two season rebuild... It's going be a long slog.
Wow! A striker missing chances! Whatever next.Adkins has been really poor this season. Everyone keeps saying he can build his own team etc and get rid of Clough's dross but people need to think what he has brought in.
He has signed
Edgar
Woolford
Sammon
Hammond
Sharp
All 5 have disappointed me. The first 3 have been poor for the most part. Hammond not impressed albeit early and Sharp has missed some sitters.
Worrying for any future signings.
As others have said, his decisions and where he has picked stuff has been baffling. He has got outcoached a lot this season by managers who have set up and nullified our strengths and exposed our weaknesses easily
I am not advocating another change and not even discussing that. Think unless something remarkable happens we need to keep him for the long haul and give him chance to build but,....
Nothing wrong with saying how disappointing it has been so far under him though and offering that opinion. It has been no better than under Clough. We have scored some more goals I will give him that but the results are actually worse.
The table does not lie.
I'm almost as frustrated as you Z believe me but I don't think we will be stuck in this shit hole of a league for another three seasons......we have to stick with him, we are down here for another three seasons minimum so we may as well keep some consistency.

Of that list of 5, I'd say only Hammond had failed to impress at all and he's neither fit nor has he been here long
Sharp has surprised me and shown much more class and leadership than many of our other 'captains' in the team
Adkins biggest mistake was bringing Collins anywhere near the first team

Disappointing result today but performance [in parts] was as good as I've seen this season - a lot better than Tuesday that's for sure. I think we will get better and I think we should see where we stand post Christmas. If we remain in touching distance, and I think we can, the second half of the season might prove to be a whole new ball game.
Personally Z, I think it's madness to even be talking about 'binning' another manager, I really do.
You were one of the most vocal people wanting us to keep Clough though if I remember correctly, so I belive that maybe colouring your opinion on the current manager a touch. A lot of the problems we have date back to Clough's poor signings last season.
We also have to remember that we have three key players close to returning.
The right side will benefit massively when Brayford is back and Wallace will become a good deputy to Harris (hopefully).
Also Edgar although not perfect is the best CH we have. So when we those three back and bedded in again we should have a bit more strength. However we still need another decent CH before we could even think about getting a run together.
Disagree pal, and I know he will never be fit enough for an entire season, but Terry Kennedy is the best CH we have. At Port Vale he out jumped Collins and Edgar (who he replaced), kept Vale's big number 9 quiet (who had terrorised our back four), and has the bottle to go in hard, not shy away from a tackle and stick his head and body on the line.
Frustrating D, I agreeI agree. Adkins will be here for long haul but he cant be happy with his signings, where he has picked players and the overall performances and results. I expected much better.
Does anyone think at this moment in time we are closer to promotion this season than we were last ?
At present I'm failing to see any improvement on last season and that's very worrying........
There was one instance in the first half where he picked the ball up about 10 yards into the Millwall half and had yards of space to run into towards the area but he tried playing a cross field ball instead.Didn't help that two of our most dangerous players, Adams and Done, had absolute shockers. Done looked barely fit, in fact he kept hitting speculative crossfield balls rather than run at his man.
I am rather disappointed with Adkins but we really need to get long term stability. Something tells me we may not get more than at most two seasons from Nigel.I agree. Adkins will be here for long haul but he cant be happy with his signings, where he has picked players and the overall performances and results. I expected much better.
