(Interview's been up since yesterday but here goes anyway)

Different people take different things from these interviews but for me the main points for me were:
That's about it I think.
Fwiw not sure who the interviewer is (Jonathan Buchan?), but I think he asks simple direct questions and (generally) follows up in areas which are important to fans. He's not egotistical or controversial and I think he does a good job getting information (as opposed to getting a reaction).

- Baxter - trained today - available
- Alcock - not trained today - so probably not available, played well so far
- Jam - trained - available - had ankle injury - good start to the season
- Coutts - done well on that side - two good crosses, him and Alcock, for the goals
- Done - played for u21s
- Cuvelier - played for u21s
- Asked about McEveley not playing - Focused on the positives of Kieran Wallace, mentioned a knock but...cagey I thought
- We've got a good squong...he was about to say squong strod but corrected himself - if I was an amateur psychologist on an internet forum with too much time on his hands and an overactive imagination I'd read all sorts into Adkins slightly stumbling over his words straight after being asked about McEveley - let loose the attack dogs of conspiracy (as they feed on the scapegoats of Bramall Lane)
- Sat, Tue, Sat, Tue and the need for a squad gets a mention
- Che and discipline - basically, dealt with in the modern way of education and expectation - I like this approach, give the players chance to do the right thing, but at some point they know there's a line they should not cross. The best part of this, for me, is it's not made to be about Che: he speaks about the general discipline procedure - it doesn't become personal. It easily can in these situations but a player transgressed the player is disciplined; it doesn't matter who it is - target the behaviour not the individual. He then goes on to say how useless McNulty is

- Loans - nothing before the weekend, and despite a decent follow up question ie Do you feel you need to add to the squad? the answer basically is no quick fixes, and talk of developing the squad we've got. Blades Kremlinologists might take this as no loans. They might be right. This really needs pressing in future interviews.
- Talk of common goal at the club and we have a better chance of promotion if we're all pulling in the same direction - true dat
- We want to be in the top two
- Port Vale - usual answer, respect the opposition but try and impose our game on them
- Delivery into the box (follow up from Burton) - The run up to the corner flag was an issue. Perhaps should've switched to outswingers. Longish answer in which it's clear they do work on corners - this wasn't always clear last season.
- Regardless of this run up business you've got to miss the first man - so what could be a weak excuse becomes an acknowledgement of a shortcoming.
Different people take different things from these interviews but for me the main points for me were:
- Cuvelier - in the u21s - not bc he's a world beater more bc his return had slipped under the radar
- McEveley(?)
- No Loans(?)
- Discipline procedure - good
