Sick of the sight of him and his immensely annoying interviews.
Can't stand him.
He's Clough without the charisma.
I didn't know the supporters were in charge of prioritising then executing incomings and outgoings, or just generally having any sort of clue when it comes to making important match day decisions. Take a look at yourself will you.
Ok Pat, you're obviously a Nigel Fan, so instead of having a go at those who are not so sure about where he's taking us, can you let us know what positives he's brought to our club. I've asked this question on numerous occasions and no one has yet come up with a single answer.
I wonder why chips.
It couldn't be because there isn't any, could it?
Don't hold yer breath waiting for barneyowlGive me a name.....who would you have instead?
This should be good.....
I post my opinions, what you to choose to think of them is entirely up to you but do not make categorically incorrect conclusions on my behalf. Thanks.barnyblade Quite possibly the worst troll (pig?) I've encountered on any forum. Some of the more obvious trolls at least have the capacity to be funny, you lack the intelligence, humour and conviction required to make your (quite obvious) wind-up posts worth reading.
I've given your posts a wide berth since you started posting, because you are the most obvious attention seeker I've seen post on here (and I've been here, and elsewhere, when Curtis and Len posted!), but thought I'd dignify you with a response on this occasion to let you know that nobody on this forum is fooled, everyone has you marked for what you are; at best, a rabble rouser only interested in self-promotion, at worst, a pig taking the piss (and I'd probably have slightly more respect for you if you were the latter tbh!).
I think Adkins should publish the stats on ground covered, tackles made, passes mad etc. The interviewer agreed Hammond was "excellent " in the second half, let's see the figures, why not?
Blame the scouting and the recruitment committee if you think the incomings are shocking.Adkins incomings have all arguably been as shocking as those who left.
Not a Nigel fan per se. It's more that I have a memory beyond yesterday and can read, hence I know he has numerous promotions and has proved himself long before coming to Sheffield United.
Positives? He tries to play attacking football, he has enough nous to be able to squeeze points out of the useless shower he's lumbered with. He's also able to stay positive and ignore nonsense from supporters who seem to think that our failings are always caused by the last person to walk through the door, not those that have been involved in the whole downward slide from day one.
If the club gets rid of him we will be back to square one, then the next manager will be blamed by all and on it goes. It has to stop.
How can you say Adkins is not culpable ? At the end of the day he picks the team and the tactics every week are you suggesting he has no say in recruitment ? Surely he has the final say on who we sign, admittedly the signings since Adkins arrival have been nothing short of a disaster but if the committee suggests a player who the manager is not keen on surely he should be able to veto the move, sorry the buck stop with Adkins for the failure of the summer signings.Blame the scouting and the recruitment committee if you think the incomings are shocking.
The recruitment committee make these decisions - Adkins has a vote but is not 100% culpable.
This makes Adkins a head coach - not a manager in the traditional sense.
I'm still getting over the newly invented fact whereby an opinion that isn't shared is automatically classed as attention seeking.
Why don't you put me on ignore? I can post my opinions, you don't see them, everyone's a winner.
Whilst the ignore button is there, you have no grounds to accuse me of anything.
Tbf, no one knows exactly what's going on in respect of how the club is being run. But Jim has intimated there is some kind of committee, whilst accusing Clough of ignoring it.How can you say Adkins is not culpable ? Its never an "opinion "I'm still getting over the newly invented fact whereby an opinion that isn't shared.
He's not getting it wrong in every department. He's making mistakes and some of his decisions haven't paid off. That happens to all managers. It's not like when Weir was in charge. And there you have it. In effect nothing. Adkins has brought nothing to our football club which is only acceptable to many because of his cv (which beyond Scunny is maybe not as good as some make out).
The manager's critics are no different to yourself Pat, we all clamour for the stability that having the right man at the helm will bring, but when you're getting it wrong in every department as Adkins is at the moment then we're entitled to ask questions.
Give me a name.....who would you have instead?
This should be good.....

He's inherited someone else's team and he's trying to sort it out. Unless you're inside the club and know exactly what's going on it isn't really possible to know whether he's just suffering from the normal problems a manager faces in the situation when you take over a team that has been built by a previous manager or if he's not actually capable of doing the required job. It could be either so we just have to sit and wait to see how it pans out.
Fat Sam has struggled a bit since he joined Sunderland and Pulis hasn't had a great start to the season (until Arsenal gifted him some points yesterday) but no one would put their house on either of them being relegated. Why? Because of their track records. It's all you have to go on when a manager is relatively new to a club.
We've won a few games, we've fought back from being behind a few times. It's nothing like the situation we were in under Weir, Heath or Adams. That's when you panic.Go on then, educate me, in which department is he getting it right?
That's seven players though, not eleven.Sorry I don't get that Adkins is lumbered with a terrible players. I can't believe that the clubs above us would turn down Sharp, Done, Adams, Baxter, Basham possibly even Harris and Freeman if we offered to loan them for a month or two
Its up to Adkins to produce a team that can compete, there are clubs above us doing it on less budget than us and this team minus Sharp and Hammond plus Murphy got us into the play offs last season. We look miles away at the moment
i don't want to get rid of Adkins as we can't keep doing that but he has a squad that could be made into contenders with the right coaching and an experienced keeper, central defender and possibly a winger

But you're missing my point, I'm not saying he's doing a great job, I'm saying there are legitimate reasons beyond his control that may be preventing him from having immediate success. Or he may just be crap. At this stage in his tenure, it is impossible from the evidence we have to know which of those it is. However, based on his record, his cv, the probability is that it's the former.
Or in simple terms; it's too early to write him off yet, far too early.
I haven't called it; that's my point. It's too early to call it so, yes, it's nothing more than benefit of the doubt, based on what he's done in the past, and the fact that, for all his mistakes, we're not struggling at the bottom of the league and looking like we're not ever going to win a game, like we were under Weir or Adams.Give him the benefit of the doubt on most things if you want but there's no excuse for the pitiful standard of player he's brought into the club. More than any other, this is the area of management which is most crucial and if we haven't learnt the lesson from what Clough did to us in this respect then we never will.
I sincerely hope you've called it right Bush and Adkins turns it round, but on his performance so far it's easy to see why there are some who are unable to believe it's ever going to happen.
Hes been asked numerous times but has yet to come up with a single answer
He will just ignore the question and continue with his anti Adkins rants
WUM, Pig or thick as Pig shit you decide
David FlitcroftPerhaps all three?
Just as I disregard complaints about the state of football by people who continue to put money into it, I also disregard calls for a manager to go when the complainants can't come up with an acceptable alternative. It's a non starter when they can't even come up with a suggestion at all.
