About prices ?

It's nice being in the PREM in it, but a couple of seasons ago back in the days when Wendy stunned us all by paying £8,000,000 for a striker they caused an uproar by putting up there prices to pay for their premier push. 1,000s of their working class fans were priced out of their ground at the time, the Star and RS told us. So I just wondered if anybody knows how their prices compares to ours this season, and how ours compares with other local clubs.

Blades Premier League tickets (if you can get them) start at £35 Pigs must have recognised the fact that they are now playing second fiddle and have priced their tickets for Championship games from £34.
Personally I would not go to that shit hole if they were paying me.

One thing you've got to give McCabe huge praise for he'll keep ticket affordable for the fans. This is one thing that scares me about new owners.

Wednesday prices will still be deluded. Barnsley tickets are pretty cheap i hear for the level and the way they play.

Erm, presume you're referring to the Prince as being the "new" owner. He's been joint owner since 2013 actually and is due the same praise (or criticism) as McCabe for anything that's gone off at the Lane over the past 6 years. Personally, even though it doesn't affect me I'm disappointed they have hiked the ticket prices up as it's probably the first time in a long time they didn't need to.

In the grand scheme of things income from match day ticket prices are not ball breaking. Increasing the price per match by £5 for every supporter for the league games, assuming an average attendance of 30000 generate an increased income of £2.850,000.

I would say having good pricing over the past few years (combined with the football on offer) has built up the fan base, meaning in the same division we are the best supported club in the city which is much more important to the long term future of the club.

He has a bit. I've a few Wednesday fan mates and a couple have been put off by Premiership prices.

Met up with one last day of season, i know he likes to go to the last match each year as he can't get regular with work. I said how much is QPR game? (Expecting £10/15) He said £30 each. To which his alternative was to try get Huddersfield Man Utd tickets for same price. (unfortunately soldout).

Another mate wants to start taking his nephew to games but has been put off because of prices. Totally shame for people who just want to see their team.

McCabe (Prince for his time) has been great with the pricing of tickets in his time and the way we target students and younger end with cheap/free tickets. I worry then when the club is sold (personally think both will sell up when court outcome is sorted) that a future owner could see bit of extra £££ to be had at the fans expense.

Obviously hope not, but I can see a bit too high of a price hike especially when we are established. All just opinion haha

The match day prices for this season are too high. £35 on the Kop is ridiculous. I know there is a £30 limit for away fans but looks like the home fans are subsidising the £30 price for away fans.

Agree with you here.

Ticket income is now such a small part of the overall income that we could easily have kept individual ticket price more reasonable, say a range of £25 to £35 max.

Can't grumble about season ticket prices but of course they were set before promotion was confirmed.
