Agreed but some of the abuse has got nothing to do playing abilities, and focus on his looks, and his parents

Ramsdale’s England involvement means a great deal to the Arsenal hierarchy. It immediately looks good on paper and if he does “come good” owning the England goalie is great business.
The only problem they have is if the England managerial set up changes before he gets the no. 1 shirt, he may fall out of favour and their investment may reduce.
It’s not like Arsenal are short of a few bob so it seems good business.

He's currently circa 5th choice England keeper. Might be waiting a while for him to get that number 1 shirt...

And that's the thing isn't it at the moment, it's all very déjà vu and has a feeling of 09/10 about it.

We lose a decent keeper, go down the loan route and go down the league. One moment we've got Kenny in net, the next Bunn, the next Ikeme, the next Simonsen.

I've not been convinced about Fodders for years and I was genuinely surprised when Wilder brought him in.

Verrips I was looking forward to seeing at WB as we've not had a proper chance to judge him and he's had good reviews in Belgium and Holland.

Any player can have a bad game but there were a few concerning aspects to his performance, rather than the odd mistake.

I'm not convinced he's as bad as he looked the other night because he wouldn't have had the reviews he's had, but it's up there with the worst all round performances I've seen since Baxter.

Feel for the kid but he's already lost the trust of fans and his team mates I'd guess.

If nothing else we have offloaded the "risk" of Ramsdale having a poor season or being injured and sold him at a good price.


GLTTL, from me but nothing more, he has now left the club twice and achieved nothing with us so will get neither applause nor a boo should he play at the Lane again.
