Building a team out of loans is a terrible idea, to be fair.

(I do appreciate that the last 'keeper we had on loan was tremendous)
Not so bad if there's an option to buy attached, but it's just kicking the problem down the road.

Not really.

We need a complete rebuild, and dont have the funds to do this effectively this season.

If (massive if i know) we get promoted we will likely need 7 or 8 new starters who are good enough, we arent going to be able to get these players whilst in the championship.

First job is to get promoted, then use the increased budget to strengthen. If we don't go up its a relatively low risk strategy as aren't hampered by transfer fees and high contracted wages.

It is relatively short termist, but a long term view is probably a couple of years consolidation in the championship to facilitate a squad rebuild as you run down contracts of the deadNorwood...

It’s not a bad strategy but with the start we’ve made it’s not a very attractive destination. We’ll be scrabbling round the lower leagues in no time at all with our shopping basket

it will only be loans even with the ramsdale sale for any permanent signings berge will have to go for 25m and the way hes playing we will be lucky if we get 15m

The arsenal media in full spin mode.

Now it’s all about how we dropped our price down to a possible £30m from £40m.

Not how they’ve had to increase their joke offer from £18m to £24m plus £6m add ons.

They are just trying to justify the signing after the negative fan reaction.

It’s a negotiation so we were hardly going to start at the fee we were happy to accept ffs!

Ramsdale’s England involvement means a great deal to the Arsenal hierarchy. It immediately looks good on paper and if he does “come good” owning the England goalie is great business.
The only problem they have is if the England managerial set up changes before he gets the no. 1 shirt, he may fall out of favour and their investment may reduce.
It’s not like Arsenal are short of a few bob so it seems good business.

Spent 135 million so far this summer, sorry but if you spend anything approaching that amount and still have Callum Chambers lining up in defence, something is wrong!

Spent £135m and there’s only maybe Odegaard that’s better than mid table premier league standard. Their team is a bang average premier league team, which is why they will finish mid table again.
