I don't believe this but I'd have no problem selling him if it meant bringing half a dozen players in

Stop peddling this bollocks. As I've said before, from the Bournemouth end they confirmed £13.5m or there abouts.

Can you provide quotes from anyone about Ramsdale's fee being anything above £18.5m? Bournemouth are very good at keeping fees to the press: had it been £18.5m rising to £23.5m then that's what would have been widely reported at the time.

If you can be bothered, go back to the interview the board gave before the beginning of last season. I never said it was rising to £23.5m.
The Prince said it would have been our record signing, but for the sell-on clause. We paid out about £18.5m (as was most widely reported).

He also mentioned in a later interview that we could have had Martinez for the money we paid for Ramsdale. Martinez was £20m.

So you don't have anything, just your recollection and that conflicts with the statements from a CEO at the time of the publication of a company's accounts. Righto.

I just provided you with multiple sources. I'm not on trial here, have a Google & a little search around YouTube for yourself.

I remember hearing the statement re: him being our record signing very clearly.
I also remember reading his quote regarding Martinez being available at the same money and being surprised by the unprofessionalism of the Prince singling out Ramsdale.

*Also, it's a bit rich to state I have nothing to back up my story when I tried my best to provide direct quotes and sources. The best you offered was "confirmed from the Bournemouth end." Who exactly?

Fuck's sake,we can barely make a profit on a player called up to the England squad.
Will Bournemouth mug the rest of the profit out of us with their sell on deal ?

Don’t think you understand how transfer negotiations work.

Ramsdale is currently work about 15 million maybe less, the longer he spends in the Championship the more his value will fall.

He’s good but not that good. Arsenal are willing to gamble because he’s still young in the England setup and his value is likely to increase.

Let’s say a fair price is 25 million. It’s not like going to a pawn shop. Arsenal are the only interested party and know we are desperate,

Even our own fans keep saying we must sign some players otherwise we’ve no chance.

So Arsenal have dragged it out hoping we break. In the end we’ve taken a lower offer they know we are desperate to raise funds.

To be honest the delays are based on negotiating the add-ons. Think it’s safe to say the incomings will fall into place now.

He might go obviously - nothing is certain, but he's said he's not, proper journalists have said he's not angling for a move, he's just bought a house in Sheffield, Slav has said he's not planning for a season without him, and we've apparently already batted away plenty of offers that haven't met our valuation.

Why does everyone believe rumours immediately and pile in on the club?

He wasn’t the reason both teams went down, his stats back everything up, he’s now an England player, whether he’s played or not, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know he’s going to get better and better. This is a desperate deal if the figures are right, I think they offered more weeks ago. We already need a few players, this now means we need more, for me it just isn’t his valuation mate, no where near.
I don’t disagree with everything you said, but to be fair he was only in that England squad because pope and Henderson was injured. If we could get anywhere near £25 million for him I would sell him

Its actually correct the deals been agreed but the delay is signing a replacement. However we do have one lined up, just gotta get it over the line. Qpr keeper. Ramsdale was left out completely tonight to prevent him getting cup tied. Should add though that as Ramsdale hasn’t signed yet, if we dont get a replacement, Ramsdale is staying put.

If he wants to go we can't really stop him let's just have a replacement ready and move on

No probs mate, some people rate Ramsdale a lot higher that’s all considering today’s prices so we’ll agree to disagree.

We close on Dieng? He's got lots of potential. QPR lads at work really dig him.

So Prince wasn’t happy with Ramsdale signing and is moving him on then?
One theory.
