I know that's silly money but remember Ramsdale picked up and went to Euro's, as for Berge he was injured for a large part so yes team dreadful but Ramsdale was one shining beacon at end. In addition if City can pay 100m for the most overrated player I've seen in years "carpet" Grealish, then 70m for them 2 isn't so daft.

I'm not sure mate, I want us to get as much as possible and I hope we approach any sale like Villa have. They know they need to keep hold of their best players to achieve what they want, if not get the best possible price.

If Viera is done, then we can probably manage without Berge anyway (I really really want him to stay though). And I think we could pick up a half decent keep at this level relatively easily.

Viera and berge compliment each other really well i feel. Despite being tall and strong, I’ve always felt berge is not the best at tackling and that is largely down to his size making him less mobile at times whereas viera is a an athletic tackling shithouse. Both incredibly comfortable in possession and both very strong. He’ll add that much needed bite in the midfield and the added bit of pace

With Viera, Fleck & Berge we can play the high press style that Jokanovic seems to favour. I'm not sure we can with Norwoods floaty passes.

Millhousesblade1889 and adamawdhali I reckon Berge has been told that the team will be built around him, the addition of another CDM might mean a system similar to the Genk system that sander made his name a 4231.

I think I read the same story. It said the "fresh" bid was expected to still be short of 30 million but would be high enough to "test our resolve". I suppose it very easily could just be more of reporters recycling stale with a bit of speculation to just fill up the pages but if it is true, I hope the only test is the imaginative way we tell them to do one.

It's annoying that Arsenal are pretty rank at the moment and there are no players available to sweeten the deal. Don't get me wrong, I want both Rammers and Sander to stay, but if they do go then a couple of strong Championship players would soften the blow.

Issue is how much are Arsenal offering? Latest that I read in the 'Daily Cannon' is Arsenal are offering £18 million with £7 million add ons. We're holding out for £30 mill or £32 mill. Apparently Arsenal have made three bids that were rejected and are expected to return with a final final bid. The third rejected bid was supposed to be the final one.
