Sky Sports News broke the story on Saturday that Bournemouth had agreed a fee with Sheffield United for Ramsdale, which could rise to £18.5m
Negotiations over Ramsdale’s wages began over the weekend.
It’s thought a third, as yet unnamed Premier League club is also interested in signing the former England U21 keeper who was recently named Bournemouth’s player of the year.

I thought it was discussed on this thread earlier on that he’s not a lifelong blade, he’s from Stoke and only joined us he was about 15?

All that is true I believe, but he clearly has an affinity to the club given the video he shared of being in the stands from after he left.

I agree, There's also the fact that him and Wilder seem to have a bond and that he knows people around the club.

I think for a lad in his early 20's an extra £5k or £10k a week isn't the be all and end all. Villa are on a financial knife edge, I know that in 2 years we might also be but at the moment we seem on relatively steady ground.

Yeah it's abit daft tbh.
It's most certainly not £18.5m up front.
What will be will be. He can either sign the deal we offer or we move into another target.
The player and agent really need to consider what CW and the Blades GK coaching team can do for his career not just the £ on offer. They only need to look at Dean Henderson to see what can be achieved.

Villa are probably too late. Rammers is coming up to Sheffield today to discuss personal terms in person with the gaffer rather that doing it over video call which is the norm at the moment. That suggests to me that he's made his mind up and is coming up to get it done.
