Hard work watching that last 20 we fell to pieces some woeful defending poor subs in my humble opinion osbourne ran his little heart out he gave everything 3 points onwards and upwards
Osborne runs but until near the end never took on the defender. Fortunately his one good cross in the match went to Moose !

I've said it before about Ben Osborn, everything but the final ball, if he can learn to weight the pass properly he's a first name on the team sheet player..

As others have said, when he gets the final ball right we get something out of it usually.. Worth the shirt..

...but he would be so much better if he would take on his marker when there is space behind. Like Stevens he usually turns back.

Madness. Look up the definition in regards doing the same thing expecting different results. And result mean how we play. We're gonna beat shit teams and lose to good teams. Mid table quality at the moment. January and on...we'll see.

Three points is three points. We can say what we want about how the end of that game turned about but SJ will sort the players out to try and stop that happening again.
What can Slav do about poor on field decision making? But good teams are built defensively minded, unfortunately we don’t seem to have a team capable of taking this on board.

Some will insist upon focussing on the the last 20 minutes, which admittedly was horrendous, against a truly awful team. But they found a 2nd wind just as we seemed to think it was sown up.

At the end of the day, it was 3 deserved points, with some lovely play (at times) by us.

We are just a frustrating team at the moment. Sublime in places, then woefully sloppy in others, and incredibly weak against. direct teams.

I really would think about signing another CB to keep Egan and Davies honest (unless Lopata is ready to step up?) and a midfield shithouse (unless Guedioura is the answer?).

Really? I have seen absolutely no evidence of that all season.

Nonsense. The same thing happened at Hull when we were cruising. Can't see games out without total panic. Let's not lose sight of how bad Barnsley are by the way.

He sets the team up to be combative and not be soft as shit and then work from there. We are not twice as good or three times as good as the opposition so we will not be blitzing teams in this formation. We will still concede loads of goals cos we have too small a midfield for this league

Because, on another day, without some individual brilliance from the Moose, we lose that game. It all hinged on Moose. No plan, just a bit of individual skill.
we are not a team.
Got a point there

Hang on a minute Ken. You can't just keep saying 'take x player out' and we're shit. You've already done that today with MGW, Ndiaye, and now Mousse.

When does it end?

He did but he was average at best

All consistent. He relies on individuals not a team effort. Those players you mentioned are the only ones to have any individual influence that creates a chance.

Most teams, not all, but most rely on a few key individuals turning up and making the difference in games. "Matchwinners" is normally the term used. Nothing wrong with that.

Let's take Mitrovic and Wilson away from Fulham or Solanke and Billings away from Bournemouth. In each case you'd be left with significantly weaker sides.

Wilder's sides were a bit freakish for us, in that it was a team that was greater than the sum of its parts, with few standout players. Although I would argue that we wouldn't have gone up both times with Sharp, and maybe one or two others.

I take your point about being a 'team' however, and we seem to lack that cohesion at the moment, especially when we are under the cosh. But I put that as much down to the change of formation and style, as much as anything.

Scoring three away in a derby match is nothing to be sniffed at, even if it was against the sister shaggers.

Agree with all your points especially the point about the team. I see no cohesive unit in this group of individuals and whilst the best teams have one or two game changers they are still effective as a unit, as a team, and are bloody hard to beat. The skill of a manager is to create something that is greater than the sum of its parts. Currently this is not the case and that has been my big question mark over Slav. I am still not convinced he is capable of creating a team.
