Most teams, not all, but most rely on a few key individuals turning up and making the difference in games. "Matchwinners" is normally the term used. Nothing wrong with that.
Let's take Mitrovic and Wilson away from Fulham or Solanke and Billings away from Bournemouth. In each case you'd be left with significantly weaker sides.
Wilder's sides were a bit freakish for us, in that it was a team that was greater than the sum of its parts, with few standout players. Although I would argue that we wouldn't have gone up both times with Sharp, and maybe one or two others.
I take your point about being a 'team' however, and we seem to lack that cohesion at the moment, especially when we are under the cosh. But I put that as much down to the change of formation and style, as much as anything.
