What will be an ironic victory for bladeybladness is when Ched Evans has to join a tribute line up and applaud our players onto the Dresso to collect the league one cup.

First promotion I saw was 81/82 so will always be THE one but. .... this one feels incredibly special. .... It feels like everyone who's represented us this season is a Blade and gets what it means to us in the stands.

The Bladeness element is fantastic, unique and a great bonus for us, and it is certainly no hindrance.

But it should also be said that it's a victory for intelligence and ability. Wilder has shown that in abundance, as has his team.

I absolutely LOVE the bladeness through the side, you can see it in all the tweets and photos posted on here, the team so close to the fans.

But...

First and foremost, we have a supremely talented manager and assistant manager (ask NTFC fans) and we have the most talented bunch of players in the division by some measure.

Bladeness is not the answer. It's the magic that weaves the team together.

I honestly think we have a real chance of surprising a few next season.

Everyone is right, bladey mcbladefaceness is not going to get us to the top on it's own.

It is a fact, however, that chucking money at it does not guarantee success, and realistic expectations, team spirit, and strong support can take you a long way.

Ask Wales and Iceland
