Our form might look ok on paper, but we're 15 points behind Burton and 12 & 11 behind Gillingham and Walsall.

We're also roughly the same amount of points from automatic promotion as we are relegation.

No offence intended to those teams at the top, they've all had great seasons so far, but this is where the club is at the moment. Not trailing behind the likes of Leeds, Charlton and Wednesday but clubs with much smaller budgets.

There's something drastically wrong behind the scenes at our club.

I'm glad you posted a "sobering thought", got to keep that rampant optimism in check

I've been optimistic at the start of the last 3 seasons. I am old enough to know better

Expectations are falling through the floor, board's potentially tying the hands of the manager, manager failing miserably with anything he's actually being given to spend. We've not a hope this season and next starts with one of the most important rebuilds of the clubs recent history. Any continuum of the managers failings there and we might as well pack it in and give up, because that'll set us back another 3/4 years at least.

Foxy - can we have a "fuck off" button please?

I think there reaches a point where you get fed up of hearing how shit things are over and over and over again.

Do something about it, suggest a solution, get yourselves in the car park with Brian the Blade. You don't need to repeat yourself over and over on here. It's fucking tedious.

How do you work these things out so accurately Barney? 9 months is a very specific period of time?

blackpool drew at walsall last saturday hammered scunny won at wigan recently, they arent the shit fest they were on relegation now
we write clubs off and expect it be too easy
thats our main problem
1 defeat in 10 and that was a robbery
but no lets all say its much worse
play offs are well attainable , was always going to be our option with a new manager and the same squad, unless every other club didnt bother trying

BTL, I think the issue is not losing games (not that we want to lose) but that draws won't be enough, and we don't have any real goal threats outside of Billy Sharp. Done, Adams and Sammon are hit and miss at best (not writing them all off by the way, just the current state of things) and virtually zero goals in midfield (Coutts, Basham, Hammond, Woolford).

but a points always better than a loss
some of our fans were predicting relegation this season so on the bright side we only need 3 wins
we all know we need fresh blood, but we also know we still have to offload some
so getting points is still preferable to losing whilst we have what we have
getting a point at Blackpool has become more difficult as they are finding their feet at last
so it may turn out to be a good one
it took us back above peterborough, going up the league getting greeted by misery just seems odd

I agree with that, but will counter with "three points are better than one" ;)

I wanted 3 too
but it wasnt to be , so we move on to the next one and try again hopefully with a new face or 2 before monday nights over
weve started looking better in the first half of games now , but have let the second halves drift , just needs tweeking

At the end of the day, I will be buying two season tickets for next season, the first day they go on sale, as I always do for me and the missus, year in, year out. The current board, players and manager are merely the current custodians of those positions, the fans and supporters are there for life.
