I make this plea from the bottom of my heart, to you SUFC – my first love, the first love ever to break my heart (repeatedly!), the love to last the rest of my life.

We have enjoyed some very good times, and some very (very) bad times.

Although the good times were just that, they weren’t great or life defining (I was at Leicester, however cruelly I was only 7 years old and unable to truly soak (Ie alcohol) in what was happening) – I hope therefore that our relationship hasn't peaked too early and that you have something in store for us in the future. And may I suggest a Wembley win.

For I cannot even begin to think what the feeling of seeing you victorious in a theatre such as Wembley Stadium would feel like, a win to reach pinnacle of the greatest Cup competition on planet Earth. To stand there, arms aloft, basking in glorious sunshine, stood by the side of my equally suffering father and fellow supporters experiencing this experience for the first time in all our life’s.

More than that it would give me hope that there may be experiences like this in the future to share with my newborn son.

So I beg you to go that one step further and head proudly into the unknown. Showing the world that you and us the fans are truly United in suffering the lows and enjoying the highs.

Lets show the world what we are. We are not just a club, a set of fans and a squad of players – we are far more than that now, something that cannot be expressed in words.

Please, please, lets just have our perfect day.

Agree with everything you said here. I'm younger than you are, my love affair started when I was 8, with a 3-1 win over Bolton in 1994. Since then there has been one high (promotion) and a myriad of defeats at Wembley old and new, Cardiff, Old Trafford, Anfield, the list goes on. Just once I want to see the club that I love play on the biggest stage and perform. I want to be part of a generation of Blades that see us play in a cup final. Even if we get destroyed by the Arse, just experiencing cup final day with United would be a high point of my life. I believe in what Clough is doing here, and I think he could be the one to bring glory to SUFC. Just imagine if he kicks it all off with a cup final in his first season...

I would also like to remind you what happened to Sheff Wendy when they were making plans for the following round before getting through the present one ...

We've made it to Wembley, anything else would be a bonus..

Please at least try and do a goal at Wembley for us.

I might be wrong, but I think we've got a 100% scoring record of "beardies". By the time the Semi comes around (not the semi I get when I think of our bearded wonder) we could have four or five in the bag (and an own goal from Quinny with that laughable thing he was sporting on Sunday).

At 13:44 on the 3rd of April it'll be exactly 21 years since Corky rolled the ball past a helpless Chris Woods.

I think we should all have a minutes silence while we pensievely stroke our beards.

Actualoled at that.

Please do it for my Dad (aged 19)(died 2006) at Wembley when we lost 1-0 to Arsenal, my wife (died 2007) at Palace, old Trafford x2 and Wolves, And my son (died last year) same as his mum plus Burnley and Huddersfield. Do it for me before I join them. PLEASE.

Dear United,

Please at least try and do a goal at Wembley for us.

Thank you.
If we score at wembley i think we would be the first set of fans to be on the pitch because of the rarity of the occasion :D
Just kiddin all u do gooders:p
We wouldnt want fans coming on after saying ban all the f***ers would we now:D

It's impossible to get on the pitch at Wembley because of those special metal barriers they have surrounding the pitch.

Still might be worth a go though.

Clough will see us through this with disciples Brayford, Scoogs, Jose, Harry, Doyle and lastminute.com Porter
