Player Suggestion A player like Ryan Yates…

…but not Ryan Yates cos he’s bobbar.

But whenever I’ve watched Forest this season, Yates does an important job of running round, closing down, niggly fouls and diving to win free kicks. Seems to be one of those players who gets away with all of this without getting a yellow card until his 7th or 8th offence too, like Fernandinho used to.

Could we do with a player like this next season? Undoubtedly Norwood is a better footballer, but is often too easy to run past at the top level. A midfielder like Yates / Montgomery next to Doyle and Sander who can actually play might be the way forward. Thoughts?

Totally agree. Would be so happy with Hamer. But pretty sure he'll go to a mid table team for 15-20mill. Maybe Wolves to replace Neves?

I've been saying we should sign him since they got promoted from League One (Barlaser too - we let that one get away). I think he'd be out of budget now.

Forest are signing Douglas Luiz. We need a leader, and a midfielder. Seems like Forest fans are mixed on whether he should stay (may need to stay for home grown player reasons), but he is in his prime years (27 yo), and surely wants to play football.

Could come in and be captain right away and play 44 games this season.

Good shout based on the type of player he is but I'm not sure he'd fancy it at all.

I know things change in football and we see previous spats and conflict put aside.

He's taken great pleasure in goading our fans on more than one occasion, personally I can't get the picture of him running to us at Forest after winning the shoot out.

That said, anyone who has the potential to strengthen us and not upset the apple cart, should be welcomed.

Never seen him play to be fair!?! Yates is more experienced, box to box type, captained his team, 27, coming into his peak and not going to play at forest. Could probably play at the side of him because he does fancy Soumare. Peck, o'hare and hamer isn't working...
