During last years Cardiff match, Warnock sent Madine to warm up and he did - right in front of H Block. It unsettled the crowd, in fact H Block went apoplectic. I can't remember if he came on or not but I do remember Cardiff equalising at the death. Warnock then went out and worked the crowd and made our lot look like a bunch of cry babies with the reaction he got. So yeah, agree with you on that and maybe Wilder's decided to take a leaf out of Warnock's book, love it when you can wind the oppo fans up and get an advantage.

Madine wa sub and came on at half time.
He won the header on the edge of our box that set up their equalizer in the last minute.

Also makes you wonder if Wilder likes a challenge.
Warnock couldn’t get a tune out of Madine who now has something to prove. If CW can get Madine performing then he’s a better man than Neil Warnock. Surely this is last chance to play at a high level, otherwise he’ll be a league 1/ league 2 player the rest of his career.

Presumably a spanner.

I’d say a basin wrench that you use to on sinks.

It’s something you rarely use, so not a popular universal buy
But when this specialist job comes up the wrench does the trick.
Assume Wilder will play our plan A most matches so Madine isn’t needed
But when it’s not working and we’re struggling to break down teams with our passing game then Madine will be brought on as an impact sub. My dissapoint is the lack of ambition as you can’t see Madine being a starter, surely he’s going to be a sub.

They both played utter hoofball shite.....so theres a clue as to what our new plan b is.

Theres a video doing the rounds of Wilder's post match interview from the Bolton game last year as to what he thought of their style. So he's either changed his mind on that or he's got something else up his sleeve. One thing for sure is, he wont be starting games if we're continuing the same style.
Why does it suggest our plan b will be hoof? We get in the most crosses in the league... we just need a physical presence in there

I apologise if this looks another thread on Madine or Wilder, but its a new theory I've not previously read, so deserves a thread of its own.

Wilder realised the full benefit of a wound up or angry Bramall Lane crowd in the match against Derby and again against Blackburn.

So he thought long and hard how to maintain the atmosphere and carry it on to the end of the season.

Thats why he's signing Mr Madine.

Pure genius.

I never said it would be. But it suggests we might be looking to be more direct if plan a isn’t working.
