I thought you would get a sarcastic reprimand for trying to get free advertising on this site! Some have in the past. Not what you know obviously. Anyhow good luck with it and have fun!

Is this it?
Thanks for the well-wishing.

Backed!

Didn't ask me for address only post code so let me know if you need additional address info

Cheers Soton - KickStarter will give you a postage form once the campaign has ended three weeks today to sort out postage. They don't ask up front in case the project isn't funded - but this one is :)

In. Delighted to be a part of it and can’t wait to see the finished product

I’m in! Can’t wait to get hold of it.

Thanks both. I'm looking forward to putting the finishing touches to it. No easy pursuit I tell you that.

Does have anyone have ideas about how I might spread the word, so to speak, then let me know. I'm on Twitter and Facebook, but I'm sure there's a lot of people that would like to read but simply might not hear about it?

Sounds great and I’ve enjoyed your contributions on here. To increase awareness you couldn’t do much better than mention it on here really, but it may be fairly cheap to get some flyers made to hand out at matches? Social media is another good route for it. I’d look to link up with some of the other Blades social media sites if possible, maybe even mention it on Sheffield Forum under the football in sheffield section. Or tell Brian The Blade and let him organise a protest over it?

Thanks Cerberus.

Protest it is!

Flyers isn't a bad shout at all actually. I've organised pop-ups actually - or in the non-millennial parlance, a bloke stood at a pub table with a bum bag and box of annuals - at a couple of the pub pre & post game. It's probably worth spreading the word for that by hammering out a few flyers.

I can imagine!

I guess social media is the most direct method in today’s world. Word of mouth also goes along way; I’ve told all (I’ve only got two) my mates about it, for example.

Paid up. Looking forward to reading it

I can imagine!

Cheers mate.

Social media has gone pretty well but I agree, word of mouth is the biggie really, I'm relying on those that have ordered it to show it off to their mates once they have it. I guess word of mouth can only really kick in at that point. Thanks for sharing - appreciated .

Can you still sponsor a player/kit? Can't imagine it's too expensive and itd get your name in the program

Get Brian Deane, Alan Kelly etc to put something on Twitter

Do a 'test' version. One pager with lots of funny stuff. Email it to Kickstarter contributers and they can send it on

Can't imagine it's too expensive and itd get your name in the program >> It's not a bad shout, although I imagine it's quite expensive. I guess the big screen at halftime would be a shout, but I know that's pricey.

Get Brian Deane, Alan Kelly etc to put something on Twitter >> Easier said than done sometimes, I imagine that they get a helluva lot of notifications, but I do intend to do that when it's printed and out there.

Any chance you could partner with local businesses? Sell them in pubs/hotel, BP garage etc?

Aye - that's summat I've looked into and might well be a goer.

Might just organise a flash mob at 14:50 for the first home game of the season.

I will spread the word to as many non-internet Blades as I can and I’m sure your man Ball_Sup (Phil) will do the same. We have a few mutual friends of all shapes and sizes.

And I’m happy to contribute whatever I can, as you already know.
