Wilder was always whinging because he was done and didn't want to be here anymore.

I think Slav will be mostly pleased with the squad.

Wilder essentially fell out/couldn't see eye to eye with the Prince. Had been rumbling for 18months prior, which is why I always question why Prince was so surprised about it all.

He certainly didn't want to leave, but couldn't see a way forward with the incoming structure changes and lack of investment in training facilities.

It is easy to forget that we effectively have three new players in the sqaud from last year in Luke Freeman, Norrrington-Davies and Slater. Whether any of these will play a key role I don't know but Jokanovic must be satisfied that they are worth being there or they would be rumours of them going out on loan or up for transfer I would assume. Obviously the rumour mill is running wild with agents no doubt touting their clients who they claim would be ideal for the Blades.

We were in the PL last season, the Championshipthis season, , Freeman spent much of last season injured and struggled when fit, in a misfiring Forest team, RND was out at loan and very much in demand by several Championship clubs and has played for Wales on a regular basis, Slater played his way into a promotion winning Hull team, a team that want to re sign him on any kind of deal.
None of which guarantees they will be a success at BDTBL, different manager, style, pressures, only time will tell.
The above is self evident to any football supporter, can you actually grasp your own twisted logic, one one hand demanding the club sign literally anyone for the sake of signing someone and then criticising players that are here, that have been signed.

Whilst it doesn’t matter when in this window we sign them it is imperative a fairly significant number of players come in before the window closes. As it stands we’ve lost jags, Bryan, ampadu and lunny from a squad which looked a bit threadbare at times last year. Each of those needs replacing like for like before the window closes in addition to any luxury creative players that lots of us would like to see. Maybe slater steps up to replace lunny but that’s hard to gauge right now.

Not sure if you are aware, there has been thus little thing called the pandemic its killed millions of people and might still kill a football club or two, but yeah just spend money on anyone, why not, what could possibly go wrong!
It's hardly a difficult task for Wednesday to improve their squad, by signing anyone, because they have lost some thing like 10/11 players, update they haven't signed 10/11 replacements

We need to get players in and out. We are top heavy up top and at LWB. It's stupid to keep so many players in those positions on the books. Getting players out is just as important as getting players in; just ask the pigs. I'm more concerned with the players we've been linked with tbh: journey man champ players on big wages (Hourihane etc) when we've been promised a transfer revolution. As ever the proof will be in the pudding.
