Sorry I get what your saying now. Obviously there wasn’t 5-6k Norwich there I get ya. But I don’t think there was anywhere near 30k there either. Seats all round us spare. When we was in prem and there WAS 30k plus then it looked like there was 30k plus. Yesterday wasn’t. I think we’ve actually had bigger hime support this season than yesterday but that was probably biggest away support we’ve had

Don't get it, just someone tell me please how the manager can be at fault for his goalkeeper letting in two soft goals, or a player like Bash giving away a penalty?
He had little or no choice in playing the keeper and if he hadn't played Bash he would have probably got stick from the same people for not doing so...

Well my data shows that hecky dropped the 3 best performers recently Ndiaye/Mcburnie/Doyle and we were losing 2-0

Whereas my data shows that the 2 goals we conceded were the result of errors by the defence and goalkeeper.

So if we had started the game with a different striker we wouldn't have conceded those goals.

Or if A.N.Other had been manager those players would never make mistakes ?

Possibly yes because the manager sets whole team ethos/mentality

The style of football Dyche teams play is not for me or the club in my opinion.

A lot of how you view PH is dependent on whether you hold him in any way accountable for our injury crisis, because it is this that is the biggest contributory factor in our downfall.
Personally, I do hold him responsible to a large degree.

I think his squad management and in-game management is quite poor. He doesn't rotate his starting line ups enough to keep players fresh and doesn't understand when it's time to take someone off during a game.
A lot of our injuries have felt inevitable before they've happened.

We're tactically rigid. We show no signs of being able to effectively adopt a different shape either from the beginning, or during games.

Where he deserves credit is that he went back to a system that worked for us and instantly gave us a platform to perform.
He's then further tweaked the shape to get more out of the likes of Norwood, Berge and Ndiaye.
He seems to be good at improving younger players and getting the best out of experienced ones and the players do all seem to respond well to him.

I'm not a member of the Hecky Out club by any means, but if he doesn't pick up at least 9/10 points before the World Cup break then I wouldn't blame the board for at least considering other options.
As others have said, I think it's shit or bust for promotion this season. I don't think the chance will be there next year.

All these people who claim that PH is tactically niave/rigid, is poor in his choice of substitutions etc, had no 'plan b', or simply 'doesn't know what he's doing', I have a question.
Aside from your right to have an opinion (and I defend that right strongly), what err... qualifications/acquired professional knowledge do you have to make that judgement?
I'm assuming the majority of us on here hold down fairly regular types of jobs or are retired/in between careers etc. So to be in a position to make , in some cases such positive assertions about a bloke who has been in the professional game over 30 years and is obviously (or so it appears to me) a thoughtful, measured individual, puzzles me..

Or....we have plenty of seasoned professional football people posting on here and not folk who see us 90/180 minutes per week at the most...

Charlieblade being the exception, he always has a view that suggests he has the same view as me...

Opinions welcomed, I just don't see how you form them so convincingly.
I've played, coached and managed at a reasonable level of the game (not professionally), but couldn't even 2nd guess the professional game.

A friend of mines father used to play for SUFC in the fifties, prior to an important cup tie a director came into the dressing room and told the players to play well and win and then they could get through to the next round and the club could afford some decent players.

IIRC from his biography, he took the Blades down from Division One in his first season. He arrived at Villa when they were precariously placed and was unable to prevent them from being relegated, too.

He then received an anonymous telegram marked as having been sent from Sheffield which read something along the lines of: "Congratulations! Done it again!"
